Buying Wine in San Diego

Does anyone know where wine can be purchased at the San Diego airport or neat the cruise port? Thank You!!!

Can't remember the name of the drug store -- but it is a couple of blocks from the cruise port.

There is also a store called Ralphs.

Someone will come along with how far each is from the cruise port.

If you are looking for a good selection of fine wines, head for The Wine Bank

Rite Aid is about 5 blocks away and about a 15 minute walk (from the pier). Ralphs is alot further.

Rite aid is 3 blocks east of the Embarkadero on Ash St. Just walk across the street and around the north side of the Wyndam resort.....as soon as you've crossed the railroad tracks you'll see it on the left. (The cross street is Kettner).

Agree. Rite Aid has a bit of selection of wine, but Ralph's really had some nice selections. If you are coming in the day of or just the night before, head for Rite Aid.

 

If you have a couple of days, you have time to head to Ralph's. Prices aren't as good as Total Wine, but there are some very nice, reasonably priced wines as well as the more expensive ones.

Trader Joe's is close by. In the Liberty Station complex, the old NTC.

Ralph's isat 2nd and G- we walked there in October to pick up some wine. Very nice walk- took about 10 minutes

 

Cross the street onto Broadway and walk up to 2nd Ave- turn right (south) about 2 blocks

Ralphs - .9 miles

Last May I stayed at the Sofia Hotel so just walked up to this place and then headed back towards the pier after.

 

They had a respectable selection.

We stopped at Rite-Aid on Ash Street to pick up a few bottles while walking back to our hotel after dinner at Little Italy the evening before boarding Westerdam.

 

The selections and prices were reasonable.

One bottle per person on embarkation day free. Corkage fee on more than one. In ports they are supposed to either hold it until the last night or charge corkage if you want to keep it with you.
