dancemom2000 Posted January 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2017 What is the best time to get to the terminal? Also, what time can you get to into your cabin? Lastly, what time does your luggage arrive?
daze6399 Posted January 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Luggage usually shows up in the afternoon sometime, in the rooms in and around the 1:00 vicinity and arrival is going to depend on the port, the person and a lot of other factors. What port/ship are you sailing on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
reallyitsmema Posted January 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2017 It really depends on what ship and terminal, how I am getting there and who I am traveling with. If I have a rental car, I return it around 10am and take a shuttle to the port, so depends on the line at rental agency. If I am driving to the port, I arrive around 10:30, drop people and luggage at curb, one of us parks and then we check in together. If cabbing, we book a cab for 10:30am. You can get into your cabin between 1 pm and 1:30pm, usually. Luggage can be there when cabin opens or as late as after dinner. Typically, it is there before dinner time. cb at sea Posted January 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2017 We arrive around 11:30....luggage depends on where it is in the bin....if it's on the bottom of the stack, it will take longer! If it's on top...you might get it sooner! Most times, our luggage is in the room around 2....one time, ONE bag didn't make it until AFTER late seating. No worries...the 1st night is ultra-casual! Cruiser-M Posted January 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 23, 2017 We usually leave the hotel at about 10:00 to 10:30 depends on the port. We love getting there early as I'm so excited as is everyone in line! I usually make friends in line and end up seeing them on and off the whole cruise.:D
lenquixote66 Posted January 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2017 As early as possible .I rather wait rather that leave late and get stuck in traffic.

We went by cab for around $20 including tip. Most hotels have shuttles that you can sign up for, but we prefer to take a cab and avoid the shuttle chaos. RCI Cruisers 004 Posted January 23, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 23, 2017 We try to get to the terminal around noon. By the time we get done with check in and lunch, the rooms are available ( 1 o'clock ). Usually our luggage gets there before the lifeboat drill >
davekathy Posted January 23, 2017 #12 Share Posted January 23, 2017 (edited) What is the best time to get to the terminal? Also, what time can you get to into your cabin? Lastly, what time does your luggage arrive? For us we're at the terminal at 10:30 AM. The announcement for the cabins are made approximately 1:00 PM. We always have our luggage, unpacked and everything put away before muster. YMMV. Edited January 23, 2017 by davekathy
