Is the middle of the ship on the 10th deck a problem as far as noise?

Has anyone stayed on the 10th deck in the middle of the ship? Noise problems below the 11th?

We were in an Owner's suite on Freedom of the Seas (cabin 1340) on deck 10 mid-ship and I never noticed any noise all week. We actually booked this same cabin on Liberty of the Seas for next January.

I would favor deck 9 over anywhere on deck 10. You may be fine and not have any noise on deck 10, but it's happened enough to us that I'd rather do without the possibility.

Look on the deck plans and see exactly what's above your booked cabin. I tend to prefer to have cabins above me and especially not the pool area.

That's our preferred deck...one easy flight to the pool! There is "noise" on every deck...you will hear more from the hallway than from above or below.

I've stayed on deck 10 on both Freedom and Independence both mid ship with interior cabins and I had 0 noise issues. I think it's a great deck to be on because it's only one flight to the pool and windjammer.

Thank you...we've always stayed on 7 and 8 and tried something different this time so was just curious. We're still in the middle so I didn't know what to expect.

We won't stay above or below public venues. Always best to have cabins above and below.

We have stayed in GS 1568 on both Mariner and Freedom, once we heard chairs moving from above on the Freedom,

 

Stayed in 1568 twice on Freedom even with that one occurence, loved the location.

I had a mid ship deck 10 on Freedom in 2015. Normally I try to keep a one deck buffer between me and the pool deck, but on that 7 day cruise, I heard one noise at 5am on one day and that was it. It was a great room for us.

Every deck has noise. You are sleeping on a moving piece of machinery, with 4K passengers give or take walking in halls, closing doors etc. Some rooms are better. For example, we stay away from elevator areas, where people linger and avoid rooms where directly above or below us is a major activity center. The rest is pure luck!
