Sky Suite - the most we've done before this is veranda so we're not sure what to expect!

Expect to be a little spoiled. Let your butler bring you breakfast a few mornings (complete with white table cloth), let the Michaels Club Conciegre make any problem go away. Enjoy the food in Luminae. Let the Sommlier choose your wines at dinner. Enjoy!!

Our very first cruise on Celebrity was in a Sky Suite about 20 years ago! our other cruises on x, maybe 5, have been in Royal suites. My husband is a double amputee now so the extra space makes it much easier for him plus he has room for his rental scooter.

1. You will eat in Luminae which some people equate to a specialty restaurant. Do a search here and you will find loads of info.

2. You have access to Michaels Club. Again, do a search. It began as a suite perk in 2014 and we experienced it that summer on Summit to Bermuda. It was wonderful with scheduled entertainment and super service. We spent time there each evening after dinner and met a bunch of great people. On a port intensive Alaska cruise the following summer it was eh.

3. You will likely be escorted onboard to Michaels with very little wait, then to lunch in Luminae. If you like they will hold your carryon and take it to your room where it will be waiting for you when you get there after a relaxing lunch.

Bottom line, there are many, many little things they do to spoil you and make your cruise really relaxing. If you are traveling some place warm ask your butler to serve you breakfast on your balcony.

You will read a lot of cruisers say they would rather have a smaller stateroom and use the money to cruise more frequently. I'm on the other end of the spectrum: I'd rather cruise every other year and stay in a suite. You will have your own little sanctuary to escape the crowds and the noise whenever you wish and your butler will bring you a cappicino. (Sp?)

You will love the suite experience.

Our favourite part is Michael's Club, such a nice place to relax and enjoy pre or post dinner drinks - excellent service, after the first day they will know your name and your favourite tipple! The Michael's Club host will happily sort any issues you may have. If you would like a galley tour or a bridge tour ask her early in the cruise and she will do her best to sort.

Solstice is a wonderful ship, a little older than Silhouette but still in great shape!

Enjoy!

I have never been escorted to Michael's Club when staying in a Sky Suite. I also think they only offer to hold your carry-on if you're in a higher-level suite--we specifically asked about this on Reflection last year. Not to say they might not do it occasionally, but I don't think either should be set as an expectation.

You are going to LOVE it! I did my first cruise with X last March in an S1 on Constellation, and had no idea what a treat it was going to be. I still say that was my favorite cruise to date. Booked 2 more while on board, both Sky Suites.

Enjoy!

I thought that may be the case. Would we be able to eat in the main dining room for lunch or breakfast?

Talk to your butler about other places to eat and reservations. You can also eat in Blu, as long as there is space available too. Try everything at least once to see what you like. Luminae and Blu are wonderful!!!

Wonderful experience!

Be sure to register for you Meet and Greet. We did this when we stayed in our Sky Suite on Century, and being Elite and Cruise Critic brought us to the top of their list, so we got assigned the head butler!

i didn't like having the head butler last time, we were just in a celebrity suite and he was so busy we hardly ever saw him.

Give me a new butler that isn't as busy and I'll be happy.

Now the michael's club concierge was great and being able to wait there to get off was very nice.
