Credits for spa, shopping, and casino

I was hoping to have my entire trip paid for in advance, since I don't like stressing out about money on vacation. So I paid everything possible up front - our celebration package, excursions, (which I am willing to pay for both of us), and my tips and drink package (which I am not willing to pay for both of us.) I did not see any way to pay for the spa treatments, so I went to the option to add money to the stateroom account... but noticed in the shopping cart that anyone in the room will be able to use the funds if I buy stateroom credits. I wanted to put in just what I needed to pay for the spa treatments, specialty restaurants, and a little bit of my own spending money without having to worry about my balance, which I paid alone, to pay off my companion's tips, drinks, shopping, or anything else. I also noticed that adding casino funds does the same thing - I can't just add funds for myself to play on (not willing to pay for companion's gambling), it is available to anyone in the room.

I feel as though I'm being generous enough - I'm taking care of most of the expenses for both of us on this cruise. Is there any way to pay these other things up front that I want to cover without running the risk of my companion running through my credits and having to pay even more? Even if he were to pay tips and buy a drink package in advance, he will still be charging things to the room like alcohol (he won't get the all-inclusive beverage package) and whatever other discretionary things he wants to purchase on board (including gambling.)

If anyone has any advice, thank you. I was hoping they'd maybe have a gift card available that I could just buy and put what I needed on for myself, but I don't see that option anywhere.

You put your credit card info in the Personalizer and he puts his credit card info in the Personalizer. After you board, go to the Passenger Services desk and tell them to make sure that the accounts are separate.

I don't know how you have your credit card set up in your personalizer, but since you want to have separate accounts, make sure you did not include your friend under your credit card entry, and when you check in, be sure that you are listed for separate accounts.

Now, as to how to pay for your other spending up front.

-Take cash with you and after check-in go to the PSD and put the money on your account. It will be separate at that time.

-There are Princess gift cards, I will see if I can find the link and repost, but this really just adds an extra step.

- Prepay whatever amount you think will be charged to your credit card to your credit card balance a week or so before you leave on the trip. Yes, you will receive a final onboard bill, but when it hits your credit card it will be paid for.

ETA- here is the gift card page

Looking at my Cruise Personalizer for Lotus Spa reservations it states "No payment needed for reservation". That appears to make it optional to pre-pay just like shore excursions but it's not required to make a reservation. I'm not interested in booking a spa treatment so I didn't go to the final step to verify if it's optional to pre-pay. I went up to the option of reserving a time & showing the price but not further.

Thank you for all your quick replies. We put separate credit cards on our accounts. I'm going to go ahead and get the gift card too just so I can be all paid up in advance. I guess I will bring cash for the casino and ask at the desk for separate casino accounts.

You don't have to ask for separate casino accounts

because you each using your own credit card. (CC)

When getting on the cruise you each get your own

cruise card that's linked to your own CC.

So your companion card is linked to his CC and

yours linked to yours.

At the end you will each get a bill on your own card what you spent during the cruise and

sent to each of your credit card company's.

When our son and his friend joined us in our cruise, I used my credit card for cruise fares. When onboard, we all went to the Passengers Service Desk to provide our own individual credit card to be used for our separate folio. All onboard charges were reflected on the respective credit cards each of us provided.
