Cabin Recategorization Coming

Recommended Posts

WOW I went to bed last night and this thread was about RCL reclassifying their cabins- I wake up this morning and the thread has turned into Aircraft cabin reconfigurations:rolleyes::eek: What a difference a day makes!!

Back to reclassification...I had some down time 2 mornings ago very early and got out pencil and paper to start looking at deck maps and counting current cabin types to try to compare to the numbers shown on the sheet about the reorg. I'd hoped to clear up my confusion with some kind of easy correlation like new 2D = old E2. Clear as mud[emoji24]

Due to the recategorization and IT having issues with the changes on the RCI site, 2018-2019 deployment had been delayed.

Most definitely NOT a surprise....but...more info please. Delayed until when? Just this week's delayed or delayed indefinitely, etc.

Not sure as of yet, waiting to get more info. All I know from a higher up is that there was issue with the system due to the recategorization of the staterooms.

Didn't mean to offend anyone. I have just been waiting for Symphony's deployment release to book.

Symphony's booking was released earlier tonight, but had to call into Royal to book.

I wonder how long it will take for other vendors to redesign their web sites to accommodate all these new categories.

The real test hasn't happened yet, but I'm fairly optimistic everything will just work. In theory, it's no different than a ship undergoing renovations and having a different deck plan before and after.

Thanks, I'm saving this for future reference. I wish I'd had it this morning, but I was able to make my reservation without too much hassle.

Yep -already posted earlier in this string...

I thought the posts earlier indicated that both A1/A2 were in Star Class. This one suggests that only the deck 8 suites (A1) will be in Star Class. It contains contradictory information from the FAQ.

The A2 are in faded pick. It alternates between bright pink and faded pink. Sky class is in faded and bright blue? So A1/A2 are in Star.

My question is has anyone seen any TL (Star Loft) availability. I have looked at a number of dates and see plenty of A1/A2 and RL availability but never any TL. Would be interested in knowing what the price is compared to the A1.
