Looking at http://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/General_Info/17055533_Recategorization_Trade_Grid.pdf I am seeing major categories (separated by a thick grey horizontal line) of: Suite Balcony Neighborhood Ocean View Interior That implies to me that Neighborhood balcony cabins (notwithstanding the inclusion of the description of XN as Neighborhood Balcony Guarantee) will no longer be considered "Balcony" and lose the C&A Balcony discount. That would indeed be a "big deal" to me, as those are my customary cabins on O-class. It is interesting to note that Boardwalk View and CP View [non balcony] are now listed as "Interior". Promenade View have always been listed as interior, but I don't think that Boardwalk and CP were. All the sync up with C&A and the new configurations have not yet been completed...it will take a bit longer to get all things in place to align C&A with the "new world order" of the cabins. Some folks are simply adverse to change...not to mention prone to yell "the sky is falling" for almost everything. Much to do about nothing in terms of it being the big deal some make it out to be...and C&A discounts will indeed be in play according to the TA here. Not adverse to change....just know with all the extra subcategories that my preferred cabin (aft / corner aft) will be at the highest price in each category instead of just being grouped with the rest of the D1's, E1's, or JS's. With less cabins in each subcategory that means the chances for a price reduction is reduced also. I'm surprised it took Royal this long to put this in place. It had a lot of problems and was discontinued. I'm looking forward to AA's new boarding system, but first, I'll have to book an AA flight. I can't even remember the last time I had no future flights booked on them.:eek: Do you use AA for Hawaii besides Florida? I actually thought that Window boarding stuff made a lot of sense. The 787 carbon fibre body allows pressurization equivalent to 6000 ft; most planes can't pressurize to less than 7500 - 8000 feet without excessive metal fatigue. In October I flew Washington to Tokyo in an ANA 777 with 34 inch pitch in standard coach (my other option for same price was a UA 777 with 31 inch pitch). I connected to an ANA 787 from Tokyo to Bangkok with 31 inch pitch. I like the additional air at 6000 ft equivalent, but not as much as I appreciated the 3 inches of extra leg room. 6 hours in a 757 is no fun, but if I'm headed to Kona or Lihue, I'll take a 757 over a wide body into HNL and then a transfer out island. As a leisure destination Hawaii doesn't get the latest and greatest for equipment. Alternatively take one of the A380s from the US to Australia. Even better! Indeed!!!
