Agree too. It reminds of post war modern on the Italian ships of the late 40's and 50's. I would have hoped for a more Noordam look which was more traditional than the others in this class instead.

We are just off of the Koningsdam, and I must say, changes in this decor are similar to what we experienced. It's seems HA is heading modern, not traditional HA anymore. We thought the ship gorgeous but no Holland America feel.

I agree with the others on this thread - the Atrium looks very sterile and uninviting. It will be interesting to see if it evolves into something warmer over time. Thumbs down to the hanging artwork that replaces the chandelier.

Looking across to the Pinnacle Grill...I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture, but the chairs with the metal backs are gone, and have been replaced with very comfortable upholstered seating.

One more pair of pictures. They redid some of the public restrooms, and others still have the old orange and brown color scheme. To me, the old restroom decor looks very dark and dated compared to the new decor.

Hi Cindy

We are enjoying reliving our cruise through your eyes. Wonderful photos. You certainly packed a lot into those 12+ days. Thanks again for all your organization on the Roll Call and excursions.
