I put a cruise on hold last night; 10 Panal in January; I put it on hold a window suite for $3937.00 Got an email confirming it; then five minutes later got the booking doc's for $7590.00-

Spoke to customer service this am and they told me they would look in to in. Do you think they should honor the first price?

Caribbean Princess Jan. 3rd or Jan 27th? The base window suite fares on the Princess web site are $2599/pp for Jan 3rd and $2699 (only one cabin shows as still available) for Jan 27th. Assuming the fare you quoted is per person $3937 looks high for either January cruise and $7590 looks way out of line. I would check the Princess web site, get all the details and then call whoever your spoke with.

No the $3937 was for total for 3 people. Got the email to prove it; then got the second one for $7590 total.

Princess is working on it to honor the first price.

Hopefully they will honor it too

Wish you very good luck. Your quote is almost certainly an error. Our per person balcony cabin fare is more than your per person in a full suite, excluding the extra for the 3rd berth.

The current published fares for 3 + port charges is $7447. Transfers must have been added to come to your $7590 total. Assume you are driving to the port so you probably don't require transfers. Even if you do taxis or Uber are less expensive.

The booking confirmation should have line items for the $7590 total. Does any of the line items looks out of line? If it's a data entry error (like port fees & taxes of $7000), Princess should be able to fix it without affecting the room fares.

I can't imagine that they will honor an obvious mistake. I remember when they posted a big promo on their web site and it made absolutely no mention of a cabin type restriction. I called and tried to book and they said it was limited to balcony or higher. I sent them a copy of what was prominently posted on their web site. They said too bad so sad. Later in the day the web info was suddenly updated with the cabin type restriction.

When it's obviously an error I don't think they are actually legally required to honor it. There have been many instances of mistakes in advertising in newspapers, etc. where the listed price was incorrect. It happens. Businesses don't honor pricing mistakes.

Yes it is an accessible cabin; and after speaking to many people the last person told me she spoke to "IT" and they informed her that is looks like it was printed in by somebody.

Informed her that I will be contacting Mr. Adams she asked me "who is he?" The person that signs your pay check.

My son did contact the chair members as well as Mr. Adams.

Yes, I do think Princess should honor this price...

I had something similar happen - and online I couldn't get the price to stay the same. I called and spoke to a representative and she was able to book it at the correct price.

I would recommend releasing the hold and then calling to book. The online system reverts the price to the higher one; a Princess Representative can book at the correct price.

Who the heck is Mr Adams?

I think once you threatened them all bets are off.

I think you're right! By the way, I think they may have a shock with regard to "Mr. Adams!" They don't even know who the higher ups at Princess are!

FYI, Ms. Swartz signs the paychecks!

i was wishing the best for you until this.

i'm sorry you felt the need to harangue the messenger.

i would be disappointed but understand that mistakes happen. especially when the price is obviously out of line with the others.

Well I canceled that cruise and called Princess directly; Found out what the problem was.

I booked Inside for 3 and an accessible cabin; Automatic they upgraded us to an oceanview suite.

So after a few mock booking... I called Princess and rebook for a Feb one. Again we were upgraded to an Oceanview Suite for no charge. Only difference is we won't go to the Cayman and go to Jamaica instead; which is fine for me since I haven't been there for many many yrs.

So looking forward to cruising... a lot of health issues and my hubby can really used this vacation

Again thank you everyone for your great support. Can always count on CC friends...

Keith,

I thought you knew all Rowboat cruises are FREE!!! You have to be invited to cruise on the Fabulous Rowboat :D.

The Captain of the Rowboat,

Tony

Hmmm... What about that 15 year old Single Malt Scotch and "a sandwich" you "requested"? Have I been had? Must I resort to Mr. Munster? (Mr. Addams wasn't involved.)

Note: I'm still waiting for info on the Casino Rate for the Bermuda Triangle cruise on the RB.

Thrak,

You must have missed the update all Bermuda Triangle cruises have been cancelled. Every time we go through the Triangle we have a tendency to go in circles. :o So all cruises are cancelled until we can figure it out sorry. The 15 year old Malt Scotch is yours as soon as you show up at the Charles River boat yard in Boston. Now about the Italian sub sandwich that's for me!!!! :D.

The Captain of the Rowboat,

Tony
