free at sea fees

Seems free to me.....you are not obligated to choose any option that adds gratuities.

Exactly!

There is an option to not choose any perks, just the Norwegian rate. I am over the moon happy to pay $99 in gratuities to have all of my drinks covered for the entire week, not to mention the 3 specialty dining for a little over $14 bucks gratuity. It's a no brainer for us! Thank you NCL! :D

The original phrase . . .

"Where 75% of 'Free' is 'Fee'."

Oh and by the way....the 75% free of fee comment...do your math

Lets do the math together.

First...is 75% of 'Free'...what is 75% of 'Free"? Well, 'Free' consists of 4 letters: F, r, e, and e. 3 of those letters (75%) are: F, e, and e...which is 'Fee. So...75% of 'Free' is 'Fee'. Get it?

Putting it another way...in solving word problems "of" indicates multiplication and "is" indicates equals. So "75% of 'Free' is 'Fee' " can be restated as: .75 x Free = Fee. ;p

buying the package on the boat....79*7 = 553 + 99 = 652 553/652 = 85%

His "joke" went over your head. You are making it way too complicated. 75% of FREE (subtract 25% of the 4 letters in the word free or 1 letter) = FEE. :D

I do not have a problem paying the 18% on my free booze and food.

I see I took too long wording my post and it was already explained.

Thanks for the information. My friend did all the booking, and I wasn't sure what the service charge encompassed. I didn't read the fine print, and thought I would have to pay tips on all the drinks and dinners, that was included on our free at sea packages. Good news, one less bill to come home to!
