SteveH2508 Posted October 8, 2017 #251 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Chair Hog of the CenturyWoman attempting to save an entire row, maybe a dozen chaise longues. She was sitting at one end, her prosthetic leg was occupying the other end. Reminds me of the old British Army joke. Two squaddies in the Falklands war under fire. One says, "Hey mate, I think I've lost my leg". His mate says, "No you haven't. It's over here." I'm probably going to the naughty step for that...
nanshelan Posted October 10, 2017 #252 Share Posted October 10, 2017 You're saying there was a murder aboard Norwegian Epic last December? DH and I were on a cruise a couple of years ago when a man hung himself in his cabin while cruising with his wife and 2 teenage sons. It was very sad.
ChiefMike Posted October 10, 2017 #253 Share Posted October 10, 2017 Think her name was Eileen... If anyone questioned her, what was she going to do? It sounds like she didn’t have a leg to stand on. Sent from my iPad using Forums
weltek Posted October 10, 2017 #254 Share Posted October 10, 2017 A staff member (a specialty contractor position) pleasuring himself in spa in the men's locker room. DH didn't know it was a staff member at the time. Reported it and investigation ensued. In return, we got three hours of our cruise interrupted by sitting and reporting things to different officers, and not even a "hey thanks, have a beer on us" for my DH's experience/time. Wasn't impressed. If you are curious, the offending employee was escorted off at the next port.
xriva Posted October 10, 2017 #255 Share Posted October 10, 2017 We were on the Dawn a few years ago, and two of our friends were in one of the Owner’s Suites. One of them was watching TV when he saw someone walking across the room behind him in the reflection off the balcony doors. He looked and the person was gone. His wife was in the other room, so it wasn’t her. When they mentioned it to the staff, they said the room was haunted. Apparently, an 86-year old man had passed away in the room on the inaugural cruise, and his spirit was still in the room. So, I guess ghosts can’t use Easy Walk-off. carolmacey Posted October 11, 2017 #256 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Well, actually . . . When told the seat was reserved, I just said I would gladly give it up when here group returns. Almost an hour later, no one showed. Wow, I love that idea! "I'll move if your friend gets here within the hour."
Mikel1733 Posted October 11, 2017 #257 Share Posted October 11, 2017 We were on the Jewel last year on a LA to Miami Panama Canal trip. Not sure where she was from but we were on the deck above Lido and watched a senior citizen get out of the hot tub. Take off her bikini top and dry herself off before she dressed herself right there.
Size12Stilettos Posted October 11, 2017 #258 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Was just on the Escape out of Miami on a Western Caribbean itinerary. Was set to arrive back in Miami at 8 am. Tried to early disembark. Was like the 20th person in line at 7 AM. This woman and her kids were playing air hockey at 7 am. I could hear the noise on the level beneath, as I made my way towards the line. Once I got in line, I could see all the elderly people in wheelchairs grimacing with painful looks on their faces. The parent's of these threw boys were totally asleep at the wheel. No parenting. No disciplining when the two younger ones got into a fight when one got injured by one of the pucks. It was like I was in a bad movie. Thank God this woman took one of the pucks or we would have sat there another 30 minutes in pure hell.

That would have messed me up. But seriously, they need a nude section where people can sunbath in the nude.

Hotspring Posted October 12, 2017 #261 Share Posted October 12, 2017 We were on the Pearl as it was leaving Skagway when a elderly couple showed up at the pier and started running down the pier, frantically waving their arms. Obviously they must have gotten mixed up between ship time and Alaskan time and missed the ship. But then they started climbing over the rock boulders on the jetty next to the pier, still waving as they tried to scramble to catch the ship, now over 200 yards away. Sad for them, but amusing. You cannot stop a ship once it has left port.
tamidon Posted October 12, 2017 #262 Share Posted October 12, 2017 You're saying there was a murder aboard Norwegian Epic last December? Kinda morbid but there is a site called cruiseshipdeaths.com & they describe all kinds of incidents by category such as murders, overboards, accidental. Morbidly interesting....
KarimaJ Posted October 12, 2017 #263 Share Posted October 12, 2017 This was on a Disney ship, more of a gross thing. In the middle of the crowded pool deck this adult man was just standing there picking his nose, I mean really digging for gold. This went on for some time. All I could think was, so this is who I will be at the buffet with at lunchtime! Ewwww....
cmecruise1962 Posted October 13, 2017 #264 Share Posted October 13, 2017 I had a very strange thing happen on a Carnival cruise...I was traveling with my son and his friend in an interior cabin and the room steward had a major crush on me. It was spooky (I'm honestly a chubby 52 year old and he was probably 35-ish and said he had been working for 15 tears) and he asked me if I would go on a date with him and I basically stuttered and said no, thank you and avoided him for the rest of the cruise. (Literally sent my son out to search the hall before I left the room, then run down the opposite hall!) The last night he left a note begging me not to tell...but I think he left it while I was sleeping! I was packing the night before and I'm sure I would have seen it. I'm friendly with the stewards now, but I don't try to get to know them!!

xriva Posted October 13, 2017 #266 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Everyone should attend the Captain’s Q&A because some of the answers can be ... interesting. We were on the Breakaway’s inaugural crossing from Southampton to NYC, and during the Q&A, someone asked, “How much clearance will we have going under the Verrazano Bridge?” (This was a question that interested me, since she is a tall ship.) The Captain paused a second, and said, “I don’t know. We’ve never done it before.” It took a minute, but then everyone had a good laugh. Who knew Norwegians had a sense of humor? mukio89 Posted October 13, 2017 #267 Share Posted October 13, 2017 Last week I was on the Escape, my husband was watching the bridge view channel and saw man in his underwear on a lounger right where the word ONLY is written. On a previous cruise, Carnival Liberty, I saw an older man get in the pool in his white fruit of the loom briefs. People were drinking and just laughing so hard the man was clueless.
ClevelandCruisin Posted October 13, 2017 #268 Share Posted October 13, 2017 My first cruise on the getaway, woke up to an orange looking bird on my balcony that just sat there for some time. This was on the way to Honduras in the middle of the ocean from Miami. Didn't expect any guests that early in the morning.

Niffernay Posted October 17, 2017 #270 Share Posted October 17, 2017 I just remembered one. We were on the Gem last December and there was this man in the main pool who kept blowing his nose directly in the main pool. He would hold one nostril shut and blow out the other one. It was absolutely disgusting. What is wrong with people? Sent from my SM-T550 using Forums mobile app

SSD Posted October 17, 2017 #272 Share Posted October 17, 2017 On the Jade Transatlantic this September were two elderly "gentlemen" who paraded around the ship dressed in "Baby Doll" outfits. New outfit every night. Turned a few heads especially when they joined in the Men versus Women quiz in the Spinnaker helping out the woman team much to the consternation of the host. kfnesq Posted October 17, 2017 #274 Share Posted October 17, 2017 I don't think this compares to the other weird stuff people are reporting, but last year on the Getaway, I walked out to our aft balcony (which was a Haven suite) and there was a dead bird laying there on the ground. My first instinct was to throw it overboard, but then I remembered that they drill into you that you can't throw ANYTHING overboard EVER or it's punishable by death or something equally as terrible. So....I called the butler and said, well, I'm sure you've heard everything and I'm not sure if this falls into your job description, but there's a dead bird on the balcony and I'm not sure what to do with it. He came up and took it away. Not sure where he put it but I was glad to be rid of the poor creature. :)

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :loudcry: Reminds me of the couple who wear matching luminous thong style outfits every day.. He is urm - rather well endowed - anyone who has seen them knows exactly who I mean. They pose for photos so someone out there must have a picture. But ooooooh the babydolls - :') Takes all sorts to make a world huh???
