jonj Posted June 10, 2017 Author #126 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Each day in St Petersburg we had lunch. The first day we went to a restaurant and the second to a cafe type of place which had Russian savory pies. We enjoyed both very much. Restaurant lunch Pies. Two of us has mushroom and one rabbit and mushroom. They had three different sizes and you could choose based on what you preferred. jonj Posted June 10, 2017 Author #128 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Day 9 Tallinn If you plan on walking to Old Town it is about 20-30 min depending on how quickly you walk. It is uphill. Charming town but not much to do. We were in port today 7am-3pm. We didn't head into town until 9am and places were still closed other than the souvenir market and some cafes. rccllovergirl Posted June 10, 2017 #130 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Hi, could you please tell me where were you docked in St. Petersburg? How far from the city center?
jonj Posted June 10, 2017 Author #131 Share Posted June 10, 2017 We docked at the new terminal which is not near the city center. Definitely need transportation to get there. I think it is about four miles. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Seashoregal Posted June 10, 2017 #132 Share Posted June 10, 2017 I've really enjoyed seeing your pictures and reading about your experience on the Navigator. We did a Baltic Cruise on the Queen Victoria a few years ago similar to your ports. We also had a private tour in St. Petersburg for 2 days, and it was fantastic. Seeing your pictures made me wish I was there again. We are taking the Navigator for the first time in September to the Canary Islands and Azores. It is refreshing to hear your positive comments about the ship. Did you see the ice show? It gets really good reviews. We will have a balcony cabin on deck 6, but your suite looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
hannahsmummy1 Posted June 10, 2017 #133 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Great pictures, I was lucky enough to spend time in St Petersburg dancing when I was younger and throughly enjoyed visiting the winter palace and Peterhof
jonj Posted June 10, 2017 Author #134 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Dinner on day 9 was in Chops. I didn't take photos, however the veal chop and the dry age porterhouse were really good. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

jonj Posted June 11, 2017 Author #136 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Day 10 - sea day and third formal night. Today we had a letter in our room that all non-EU passport holders had to turn in their passports for Belgium authorities and they will be returned once we leave Belgium on night 12. I went about 12pm and it took about 20 min to get through the line. Had lunch in the dining room and the menu was different from the other day. bigeck Posted June 11, 2017 #139 Share Posted June 11, 2017 No, you didn't, Navigator is to high to sail under Oresund bridge. the sailing hight of Navigator is 63m and max hight for going under Oresund is 57m so it's not possible.I met Naviagtor both times she sailed from Copenhagen to the baltic in 2016 and we are not sailing under Oresund bridge, but Great belt bridge. To Jonj great pictures and lovely to see som pictures from my hometown, Oslo :) Thanks for the clarification. I didn't think it did
Shelley61 Posted June 11, 2017 #140 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Ah, Graffiti Classics are on. I dragged my OH along to see this and he was expecting normal classical music so was not looking forward to it in the slightest. He loved it! DJLDRUMS Posted June 12, 2017 #144 Share Posted June 12, 2017 Thanks so much Jonj for ALL the many photos and postings you've sent to the CC Forum. Two more days and we'll be taking that "big bird" east to London from Boston. Even saw some people wearing shorts, so weather can't be too cool. The 10 day forecast is showing rain in at lease the first three countries. So that's what jackets and rain gear are for. I wont be sending out any posts while we're on the cruise. You certainly have been a terrific help to us as well as others who are reading your posts and enjoying your photos. Thanks,
sky0000547 Posted June 12, 2017 #145 Share Posted June 12, 2017 Interesting that they still setup a small buffet on ala carte breakfast on deck 5.
jonj Posted June 12, 2017 Author #146 Share Posted June 12, 2017 Day 11 - at sea It is a very windy day so windy they closed the open decks. Not a whole lot to do on the ship. With it being the last day at sea I would have thought they would have much more going on.

Inot Posted June 12, 2017 #150 Share Posted June 12, 2017 What's the position regarding formal nights? Have RCCI dropped them (as have Celebrity) or do they still insist on jackets/suits and ties for men?
