Wondering what they are and how do you get them?

They are offers from the casino. There are three levels: Premier , Ultra and Elite.

 

You get invitations or offers based on your play in casino.

There is also one called Select. That level is lower than the Premier.

Today I saw an Ultra Casino offer in my VIFP, and the balcony fare for 2 is barely $100 less than regular rates. I thought Ultra were much better rates. What is the cash back that can justify my booking this Freedom cruise?

As far as purely cash, every Ultra guest does get a turn at the prize wheel. Last year, the least expensive prize was an Apple watch, which I promptly sold on eBay for $700. I don't remember if I got casino cash, though. I know Premier comes with casino cash and/or free cabins, but not sure about Ultra. Has anyone received an Ultra offer with casino cash and/or a free cabin?

It's based on the amount of your bet and time you spend.

Thanks for the info on the cash wheel......does every Ultra guest win something or are there blanks on the wheel? I understand that the least expensive prize was the Apple watch, but can ULTRA cruisers spin and get nothing?

One of the adverts from the casino listed 7500 points to get a premier. 7500 on a premier to get an Ultra. Elite wasn't listed but since they only invite about 40 or so I think you would need a great deal more than 10000 points. I sailed an Ultra last year and as I walked around the casino it wasn't unusual to see 40 and 50 thousand points on slot machines. And that was just on my Ultra. There were 3 other ones.

 

Please know I am grateful for all the perks. I am not complaining. BUT I do think the inconsistency of awards is the biggest frustration for most players. I know several people that played just a little longer to make that 7500 point so they would get their Ultra invite. They were not invited. I also know people that received Ultras this round that never sailed a premier. BUT they are higher rollers so I can understand the players club wanting to get them back in the casino.

 

Bottom line--- gamble for the fun not the perks and you will never be disappointed.

So when they changed the rules for receiving an Ultra Cruise, I was pretty bummed. I cruise at least 2 -3 times a year. On the Breeze Ultra Cruise last year, I had acquired around 6,500. Last March I was on a Premier Cruise. Towards the end I had around 6,600 points. I had to go for that 7,500 mark. Luckily I made it with some wins here and there. I know I would have been upset if I didn't receive the Ultra offer. I pretty much think that this might be my last Ultra Cruise. It will be interesting to see if I receive the Ultra next year based on my combined play for the year.

I wonder if they combine points from all your cruises in a year to get an Ultra invite. I'm pretty sure neither my husband or I reached 7500 on one cruise (took 2 premiers and 2 others) but combined we were both way over. We both received Ultra invites.

I too wonder about that. But I was specifically told by the Casino Host on our last Ultra Cruise on the Breeze, that non of my points earned that cruise would count toward next year's Ultra. You have to earn 7,500 on a Premier to qualify for the Ultra. :rolleyes:

The Ultra offers can come with casino cash and/or free cabin. My Ultra offer this year was P2L and was for a discounted cabin and $900 casino cash. I have heard of others getting offers for a discounted cabin with no casino cash, free cabins with casino cash, and free cabins with no casino cash. I was told the offers are based on your level of play in the casino.
