Talked to TA who spoke with Princess rep and their supervisor and we were given the credit. It is actually US$75.00 person making it a total of US$150.00 for the cabin. Sailing Nov. 2017 trans-canal. Thanks to OP for this information.

MY TA called Princess. They told her no to our Sept. 2018 booking that was booked during the 3 day Expedia sale.

My TA informed me that my fares for my bookings would be refaced and because of all the extras I already have, it wouldn't be worth it. Oh well [emoji53]

I was able to get the obc for 2 previuosly booked cruises next year booked under a casino rate which doesn't usually happen. I also passed word out to our fellow cruisers who were all able to take advantage of being Canadian.🇨🇦🇨🇦.

I told a facebook friend about this promo as I knew he had a Princess cruise booked. It took him all day to finally get the OBC added. His travel agent eventually cancelled the entire original booking and started a new booking with the OBC! Took my Princess PVP 3 minutes to add it to my booking with no changes. This is why I prefer to book directly with the cruiseline. I've lost all faith in travel agents. I'm sure there are some good ones out there, but I'm not willing to risk my vacation with a TA who has minimal cruise knowledge.

God I LOVE Cruise Critic! Our TA was able to get this added to the B2B cruises we had booked for February 2018 for everyone in our little group. My Mom will be thrilled! It was not available for the other cruises we had booked during the three-day sale but the free gratuities we received for those work in our favour.

I wonder if they are going to do something for those in the US for the 4th of July.... Though I feel sorry for the agents, they got hit with the $1 booking, then the Sip and Sail and then maybe this. Especially when a lot of people take a 4 day holiday. I am guessing we won't get this in the US.

Persistence paid off. My TA was able to get the promo added to two of the four cruises booked. Of the two not receiving was a 5-day sailing and the one I booked for 2019. I'm happy to have it added to two other of my bookings. Thank you thank you thank you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! My TA was able to get me an additional $100 US OBC for my September Canada/New England cruise. It was through Cruise Critic I found the deal on the cruise (no single supplement for inside cabin) earlier this year. Cruise Critic is definitely the place to get great info/advice and some chuckles too.

Hi everyone,

 

My apologies if someone had already posted this - I searched but didn't see it listed.

 

Anyway, I saw a Princess Facebook post that advertised $150 in OBC to celebrate Canada's 150 celebration! It's combinable with Sip & Sail and the Red, White, and Blue sale. I emailed my PVP (sorry, forgot what they call them here!) and she added it to our booking!

 

Can't turn down free money! That will almost pay the grats on our 6 day wine coastal next year.

 

Hope some others can take advantage too! :)

Just had it added to our March 2019 Japan cruise! Booked as an inside guarantee with the $1 deposit deal. $50 OBC each for a total $100 OBC. Did not have to re-fare or rebook.

Sad to hear you have lost all faith in travel agents. There are actually some cruiseline PVPs that have had minimal (if any) knowledge of some of their own cruiseline promotions. You may be surprised how many times it has been the travel agent who informed a cruiseline PVP about the details of a promotion and how to apply it.

You may be right, but as long as I book directly with Princess the booking is in my control. I can watch for promos or price drops myself and call either my PVP or a Princess rep and it's taken care of. I've learned from past experience that TAs frequently drop the ball and I've been disappointed to have missed an opportunity. Again, I'm sure there are some very good TAs, but I'm just not willing to start shopping around for the right one.

Well we paid our final payment two weeks ago, but thought I try this anyway. My agent told me she waited on the line for 45 minutes while they conferred (not sure WHO was asking, telling etc. LOL) and the final answer she got was that it was only on cruises this Fall and beyond. Hmmmm, our ship sails Sept. 2nd. Not good enough, apparently. ;p

I was just able to add this to an upcoming Hawaii cruise in October and a Mexican Riviera cruise in March using the on-line chat tool. I am very happy! Thanks for this tip.
