Rare island lady Posted March 24, 2018 #26 Share Posted March 24, 2018 We got upgrade from JS to GS on our upcoming Mariner cruise. No idea why we were chosen. Rumor is that there will be 100+ Pinnacles onboard and we have to be on the low end point wise. Nice meeting you on Allure Congrats John! Maybe you were the rare "P" that booked a JS. ;) And probably in a good location that was easy to resell? I got upgraded from D1 to JS once on sold out Serenade.. with many higher point D+ and Pinnacles that were passed over. I think it was that nice central hump location RCI wanted to resell.

cruiseguy1016 Posted March 24, 2018 #29 Share Posted March 24, 2018 I don't know, I've not tried to log in to the website in weeks. However, I'm guessing that the preference stayed the same in the back end database even though the ability to view or change it may be affected by the new, improved web site. Thank you for the laugh. :D

crusinot Posted March 24, 2018 #32 Share Posted March 24, 2018 We sailed Anthem on March 9. The Upgrade fairy paid us a visit. From guarantee ocean view to balcony deck 7 forward. When we arrived our info and someone else's info. Inside cabin the same thing. My husband went to find out what was going on. It looks like someone cancelled pretty close to sailing because ship was sold out. We were upgraded and they more than likely sold the ocean view. We were very happy. No phone call. I just happened to get an email with an invoice that stated a different room number. When I called Royal Carribean to inquire, they did not let on . I thought that maybe my husband called to upgrade as a surprise. We did enjoy the balcony!
