We booked our upcoming Caribbean Princess cruise with an "included" dinner at a speciality restaurant. Will we be able to pick the restaurant and date or will Princess assign a venue, day & time? Thanks in advance for your help.

Both. In other words, in all likelihood, Princess will pick the date and venue, and if that doesn't work for you, you can ask to have it changed.

We were given a voucher with the date and time, it suited us so no problem.

On CB in January (2017) and had the reservation with the "included" specialty restaurant and time assigned in our cabin.

It was no problem calling Dine Line to have them change it to the day/time/restaurant of our choice ... but it did have to be the evening of a PORT day.

We were on a B2B2B with the "included" dinner on each so had to do it three times.

Really, it was easy.

You didn't say how you got the included dinner. If it was from booking a suite it has to be used the first night of the cruise and you can choose which specialty restaurant. You need only call the dine line and make your reservation.

Don't know about the OP ... but ours were included by booking the "3 for Free" early.

Unless they changed the rules, you do not have to go the first night. We like the menu in the main dining room on the first night and wanted to change to another evening. We called the Dine Line and were changed with no problem.

I have been in suites many times and just called the dine line to change from the first night to another night or even spoke with the head waiter of the venue in person. Never a problem to change it.

Learned something new. I will call and ask to change to second night because I also like to go to the MDR the first night.

Thanks for the information! We are not in a suite, the dinner was included in our early booking package. We usually like to go to a speciality restaurant the first formal night, hopefully we can use the credit, if not we'll use it another night. Thanks again for the info!

You don't have to be in a suite to change. Just tell them you have other plans and can't make it.
