bulkoboy Posted August 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2017 On Azura Saturday to Norwegian fjords. Are we likely to suffer from any bug attacks? Thinking of midges, etc.

jocap Posted August 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2017 It depends on how far inland you're going- I've been bitten in next-door Sweden working on camp sites in forests in August, but midges, mozzies, horse flies don't seem to travel too near to the coast. When I lived next to the sea in the UK, I never was bitten, but when I moved five miles away into woodland, I had constant bites if I didn't take precautions, and I'll be packing some stuff before we go to Norway in autumn, because we have several excursions which are going inland. Tiggertastic Posted August 9, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 9, 2017 We did the fjords in August, never had any issues and I'm using a bug magnet. I still took bug spray just in case Sent from my iPad using Forums
