eandj Posted August 24, 2017 #26 Share Posted August 24, 2017 After we finish one of our "carry on bottles", DH keeps it filled with glasses of a favorite wine funneled in and capped. While I'm doing my thing during the day, he does wine runs. On a two week cruise, having that bottle ready and waiting for whenever is nice. miched Posted August 24, 2017 #27 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Please be careful with anything you transport on the elevators... have observed many close calls with hot coffee, drinks, plates piled high with food,. Covers on coffee are always helpful... One time we were in the elevator going to disembark and a coffee drinker squeezed in & spilled her hot coffee all over me.,,..lucky I was not burned but spent the next 7 hrs of trvl smelling like coffee,,,She barely mumbled I' m sorry,,, Something similar happened to me. We boarded a flight. The plane had one aisle with 3 seats on each side. It was a 4 hour flight to Vegas for us. My wife had the window seat and I had the next. There was a female sitting in the aisle seat. We sat down and I could feel that my pants were getting wet. Naturally I am thinking that the person previously in my seat had a little accident and peed on the seat. We traveled very lightly to Vegas using just carry on and these pants were to be worn a few times. I called for the attendant and was told that there were no other seats available. She gave me some blankets to sit on. The person next to me conversed with us a little during the flight and was very friendly. As we were getting off the plane she informed me that as she was getting situated in her seat she placed a cup of coffee on my seat and it spilled. Thanks a lot. You could have mentioned it before I sat down. Some people are just rude and inconsiderate. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌞

[emoji848] Was it written all over like "Kilroy was here"? Happy cruising [emoji305][emoji568][emoji631][emoji274] DH on Cruise Critic posts. Not on ships. You mentioned it in your last post. ShonaTay56 Posted August 24, 2017 #32 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Same in martini bar - always ask for a "to go" glass if you are taking it away. Or maybe don't ask and when you start to leave they tell you that the glass has to stay. So what do you do? Aw Shucks just have to have another one:D
dgcruises Posted August 24, 2017 Author #33 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Who is DH?? Lol, I keep seeing this everywhere. I believe most use it to be Dear/darling Husband here are some others DW= darling/dear wife DD= darling/dear daughter DS= darling/dear son SO= significant other My wife thinks these abbreviations are silly and that they should not be used if she did it would probably be for dickhead/dumb/ husband ;p Bugs me too why we cannot all type out complete words, complete sentences and use correct punctuation, eh? PS: I guess the last sentence makes it obvious to some I am Canadian.

TravelKnitter Posted August 24, 2017 #35 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Same with wine, they won't let you wonder off with the riedell glasses and will swap it but that no issue. But take your drink anywhere you like Sent from my iPad using Forums I'm sure they also want to make sure that glass containers do not end up by the pool. As memory serves, glass is not allowed in the pool areas. LOVE those Riedel glasses! :)
TravelKnitter Posted August 24, 2017 #36 Share Posted August 24, 2017 I found it particularly easy to stop at the casino bar for a drink to take to the theater, the waiters there are REALLY overworked and slow as a result. Casino barman got used to me stopping by... ;) Great idea. Thanks.

Just asking why you listed all of the ships that you sailed on at the end of your posts. Was the purpose because you seen DH written on those ships? Otherwise it is just clutter. In the mini bar fridge in your cabin, but they aren't covered by a drink pack. If you have a drink pack ask for a unopened beer as you walk by a bar. If you already have a drink have your spouse hold it and also take their card and ask for two. Great for stashing away for later. Drink up🍹🍷🍸🍺

miched Posted August 25, 2017 #43 Share Posted August 25, 2017 Unless you want a can of any soda on Reflection, and then you've got no chance :loudcry:. It may be a new policy or up to the BT as I never had a problem but that doesn't mean anything as changes always occurs. I always pack a few of these as they work great on most bottles of various drinks. https://www.amazon.com/Stopper-Spirt-Compare-champagne-stopper/dp/B00NURK9EM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1503667824&sr=8-6&keywords=bottle+stopper Drink up 🍺🍹🍷🍸
