Elite drinks coupons

Thanks all for the replies. I never manage 3 drinks before dinner so always end up with coupons left over. Usually give them to the waitstaff anyway as I was told they benefit in some way. If they are loaded on the seapass I couldn't do that.

When it's the vouchers I usually Spend one voucher on a glass of wine to take into the MDR. :D

I attended the 'elite' sky lounge pre drinks packages. Whilst I quite enjoyed teasing some of the cruise snobs at these events I admit it was just the free drinks that lured me in .

On a premium package next month so no need to go to sky lounge 'elite' event

We had a premium pack and went to the Sky Lounge for the Entertainment of watching the people and to socialize with some couples that's we met.

There was one couple that was always at the head of the line and rushed to the same two seats at the bar. They would sit there and hammer down drinks as if there paid one price for all you could drink in 30 minutes.

One male at a table in front of us had at least two beers before we ordered a drink. The server finally came to us to take our order and he was being a A hole and was telling her that he wanted another beer. She ignored him. I ordered a beer that was on the premium package. As she came back with my beer he jumped up and grabbbed it from the tray and started to drink it. She asked for his card to charge it and he wouldn't give it to her. There was a ruckus and security was called. He was escorted out of the area and I don't really know the results were. I didn't see him again in there but it was still amusing to watch the couple at the bar.

It is very ironic that since we became Elite we never really used the perk of HH because every cruise we been on as Eltte we always had the drink pack and upgraded to premium. Prior to becoming Elite the drink pack was never any part of a promo so we never had it.

Drink up 🍷🍹🍸🍺

We always make sure we give unused vouchers to the waiting staff, because we have been told, by several members of staff, that they benefit financially from the voucher. With the 'inclusive' drinks packages we do not really need the vouchers unless on a transatlantic or transpacific cruise, when we can actually make use of the vouchers.

I did not know this. We have a transatlantic in October and had a very good discount on drinks packages. Therefore we won't be needing our Elite vouchers either this trip. Thanks for the info.

Hello, i'm booked on the Eclipse, out of Southampton, for the Transat crossing , on 28 Oct.

i suppose there will be many Elite members on board, and therefore, coupons wlll be handed over....

i would rather have the drinks served in the sky lounge...... last year, on the Relfection to the Agean Sea, in June, it's where the Elite drinks were served. The place was not too busy, and i had a great time there.

the coupons are handed over every day, for each evening? how does it work?

we don't have a drink package because we find it expensive.... unless there are some special offers i'm not aware of. may be on board, when we embark ?

thanks

Jacques O.

The coupons were in our cabin when we boarded. Each evening we would tear three off and take them to the bars.

There are some very good drinks package discounts available for your cruise, up to 50% off drinks packages, you need to log into your Celebrity account and check out the prices.

Both myself and my husband have bought drinks packages as the discounts were too good to miss. We are also on your cruise.

For those Elite and above, it is likely you will receive drink tickets on a transatlantic. They will have a date on them and they are only valid on that date. They are not valid in the dining room. If you like the Ske Lounge, take your tickets there and they will give you your drinks there, between five and seven p.m.

  • 1 month later...
It's was from a newsletter I read from Celebrity when promoting the changes from 123 Go promotion to Go better Go big Go best. The actual figure was 87%. TA and Trans Pacific cruises are normally the only repositioning cruises not having a drinks package as a perk. That said drinks packages were included for a short time a couple of months ago. The numbers of those with drinks packages is reflected in Lower numbers at Elite functions on non repositioning cruises. We rarely travel without a "perks" drink package thus the Elite happy hour is not a priority for us especially on port extensive cruises

In the past 12-18 months Celebrity has added to the "repositioning" cruises. We are doing Singapore to AbuDhabi and it is a repositioning as the following cruise is 12 night r/t AbuDhabi. The cruise after is AbuDhabi- Singapore another "repositioning" . There are other examples but more and more the one way cruises are being classified as repositioning and no perks even though the ship is sailing back the same area for months.

On our recent Navigator cruise RC had extended the Diamond drinks for use in any dining venue and they could be shared with non Diamond friends. Anyone know if Celebrity are considering this change, and maybe extending it to 3 hours like RC?

I don't think RC's intention of loading 3 drinks onto your seapass was so that you could share your perk with non Diamond friends. Rather, it was to give you the option to partake of this perk in other venues throughout the ship other that the Diamond Lounge. Giving your seapass drinks to non Diamond friends is akin to having the beverage package and sharing it with others, which is a no-no according to them.

Not a no no but perfectly acceptable to RC, unlike sharing a drinks package with unlimited drinks the loyalty perks are strictly limited, so it costs them nothing extra when you share.

That's some kind of logic. So I guess if I smuggle my own booze on board, it's OK since it doesn't cost them anything?

If you consume all your drinks from the Diamond Lounge, then use your 3 drinks on your seapass to get 3 beers for your non-diamond friends, it costs them the cost of 3 beers.

I don't think anyone can conclude that sharing drinks with non-diamond members is acceptable to RC, although I'm sure it's being done by others.

It’s simply amazing that you’re able to justify this illogic so easily. They are a loyalty perk for YOUR use. Not to distribute as you see fit.

I thought you meant me for a minute...but we aren't at the "head of the line"...

We never get drinks package and I "hammer down" my share of drinks each night!

Does anyone know if Celebrity loads the 3 Elite drinks coupons onto the Seapass in the way that RCCL has now adopted.

No they don't. Coupons are only in use when there are large numbers of Elites and above on any one sailing. They will issue coupons which have your name, stateroom and date on them. They will be in your cabin when you board the ship. Coupons only good on the date they are for from 5-7 pm.

We just had coupons on our September 24 - October 8 Summit cruise. But we had the drink package so I think I took most of them home with me.

I had assumed that the 3 free drinks on my seapass card applied

whether I drank them in the Diamond lounge, (which is a wee bit grotty on Navigator) or in any bar or dining room, and prior to the cruise I had checked on the RC forum and been advised by Bob (Host Clarea) that this practise was perfectly acceptable, specifically because it did not increase the number of free drinks.

Personally it makes sense to me, but you can continue to feel outraged if you prefer.:)

Maybe you should to do the math. If you had 5 drinks in the Diamond Lounge and give away 3 drinks from your seapass to your non-Diamond buddies, you increase the number of free drinks by three. Your assumption about the 3 free drinks on your seapass is off base, in my opinion. They are there so you can enjoy a free drink in another venue so you can socialize with your non-Diamond buddies who are paying for their own drinks.

I am not outraged. I'm just trying to explain the difference between what is right and wrong. I'm sure others do the same as you, but as the other posted pointed out, it's a loyalty perk for YOU, not your non-Diamond buddies. I'm sure Host Clarea would agree with me.
