calidreamer Posted August 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Hi, could you please clarify that for me because I'm lost ;) I'm looking at Southern Caribbean cruise with my little one - the one that I particularly like is 9 days Royal Caribbean: Day 1: Miami Day 2: Cruising Day 3: Labadee, Haiti Day 4: Cruising Day 5: Willemstad, Curacao Day 6: Kralendijk, Bonaire Day 7: Oranjestad, Aruba Day 8: Cruising Day 9: Cruising Day 10: Miami, Florida All information I could find about taking a baby on board is that: "Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise and/or CruiseTour. HOWEVER: For transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, select South American and other selected cruises and/or CruiseTours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour. For the purposes of this policy, any cruise that has 3 or more days CONSECUTIVE at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour" When trying to book I got an info: "... must be at least 12 months of age in order to sail on a cruise longer than 3 days at sea." must be at least 12 months of age in order to sail on a cruise longer than 3 days at sea. So is it three days total or three days consecutive (which this one is not) ? Or maybe you know any shorter itineraries to southern Caribbean ? Doesn't really matter what cruise line Thanks! Rare Scrapnana Posted August 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2017 It is three consecutive days so you chosen itinerary will be fine.
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2017 You are fine as you only have three consecutive days at sea. Keith

calidreamer Posted August 30, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Thank You! That's what I thought. But in that case why can't I book it online- when adding passanger info it says that baby has to be at least 12 months old and won't let me continue to the payment page. Probably better to book by phone direct with line, you can discuss this issue. Regards John
Grandma Dazzles Posted August 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 30, 2017 I agree that calling would be the best way to handle the booking. A couple of things I wondered about ......perhaps Labadee is counted as a sea day, fully realize it's not, but does not have medical resources like a true port. Also, is your little one a full six months on the first day of the cruise by birth date, not "just around 6 months." Very strict on this. Good Luck! Did that cruise earlier this year and enjoyed immensely.
cb at sea Posted August 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Definitely call and book on the phone. That's probably the problem...that Labadee stop.
