crawford Posted October 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Haven't seen a similar thread for 3 years and wanted to get a current update. Is it possible for Princess to offer better pricing based on Captain's Circle status? Was in the process of booking two cabins with friends (we are Platinum, they are Gold or Ruby). TA stated that their pricing was almost twice as high as ours, as they weren't allowed to book at the same discount. Feedback is appreciated! skynight Posted October 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Anythings is possible, but I have never heard of this. Each of you try going on the Princess web site and see what pricing is shown. Make sure you sign in first.
Working 2 Cruise Posted October 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Maybe your TA wanted to look good? Or are you referring to the casino discount cruises that are offered to certain CC members?
PoohUnderstands Posted October 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Don't want to assume. Do your friends live the same area as you? Reason I say this is that Princess has different pricing for different areas of the country based on your home address. Pooh
Rare CineGraphic Posted October 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Would the price be the same if you booked the two cabins?
debi2g Posted October 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Is "Share the Savings" available? We've used it several times when traveling with others. It allow you to invite 2 additional couples at the same rate you got. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
MCC retired Posted October 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2017 There are special offers emailed to some past guests . No rhyme or reason who gets the email but your Captains Circle # must show that you were sent that email. Sent from my iPad using Forums

crawford Posted October 18, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Maybe your TA wanted to look good? Or are you referring to the casino discount cruises that are offered to certain CC members? No casino. Very standard booking after I logged into Princess and saw pricing. Although our friends don't have the same status as us, we have always booked/travelled together, getting the same pricing.

Rare Coral Posted October 18, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 18, 2017 No casino. Very standard booking after I logged into Princess and saw pricing. Although our friends don't have the same status as us, we have always booked/travelled together, getting the same pricing. There are multiple reasons - you could be getting a past passenger rate, or a targeted rate, regional rate, Captain Circle rate, etc... You can potentially book both guys in one cabin and gals in another cabin and both get the same lower rate and then change it once on the ship so the couples are together. Have your TA try that. It is possible only one of you (you or your spouse) is eligible for the better rate but the 2nd person gets it with you. In that case, separating the guys won't help.
