Grand in Long Beach

I looked at the bridge cam and see the Grand in Long Beach (where Carnival docks) instead of San Pedro. This is the first time that I've seen this.

Sounds like a California Coastal cruise.

Home port is still San Francisco.

It is on the Classic CA Coast and is in Long Beach today. The Grand was in Santa Barbara yesterday. This fall the Grand is doing the Classic CA Coast, Mexican Riviera and Hawaii on a rotating basis.

Yes, we leave at 11pm tonight. There is a free Passport shuttle (red) into town.

It is definitely still home ported in SF. Wish we could get a different ship ... but that is another story.

And ... yes, it is scheduled to stop in Long Beach vs San Pedro for two of my upcoming cruises on here.

I’ve done the Calif Coastal on the Grand twice. Both times it docked in Long Beach by the Queen Mary, not in San Pedro

I have friends that I'm meeting tomorrow in San Diego that are on this cruise. They've known about Long Beach being a port for a long time. I thought it was weird too.

This is our 3rd CA Coastal from SF and all 3 stopped in Long Beach.

my understandings is when princess starts a cruise, it is from san pedro. when it is a port in the middle of a cruise it is long beach. i assume because long beach has more to do for tourists and access to los angeles via public transportation.
