I was checking out the chef table on Carnivals web site. There's two prices $75 and $95. Any one know what's the difference?

I have no personal knowledge but have read the higher price is charged on ships that have adopted the"new" menu inaugurated on the Vista.

 

I hope someone knows for certain.

 

I have had both versions and they are both delightful.

Yes it's different- it rolled out about 2-3 months ago.

Dream class ships and the Vista are $95. The others are $75. No idea why there is a difference, the menus are the same. Perhaps someone with knowledge of the matter will chime in.

In General Carnival does their Chef's Table right, I've done 4 and slways great I'd give them 5 stars.

I tried one on Royal wouldn't give a 1/2 star

We loved it! Food and experience were both incredible. Only downside, it was the last night of the cruise and we were so stuffed we went straight to bed afterwards, haha.

When we did the Chef's table on Princess several years ago, my wife doesn't drink wine, so she paid a lower price than I did. I thought it was the same when we did it on the Liberty as well. A lower price if you don't drink the wine. It could have changed though.

Which ship? There are 2 different menus floating around. Vista, Hoizon & Breeze have the newest menu.

If I recall, the lower price is for a non-wine drinker and the higher price is for all the included wine pairings with the dining experience.

I believe this is incorrect. The price difference is by ship.

 

I have taken a teenage granddaughter three times. She was not offered, nor could she have accepted wine, but her charge was the same as mine.

 

Just FYI, she was offered the non-alcoholic drinks of her choice.

I was on the Pride last March 2017 it was a $75 (it depends on the ship if you pay $75 or $95). Additionally you will be charged a service charge I don't recall if it was 15% or 20%.

 

I love the Pride but I have to say the Chef's Table was just ok and IMO not worth the money . This was my 5 time over the years doing the Chef's Table and after that experience it will probably be the last.

I personally have never seen Carnival make that distinction, though I have sailed on only three different Carnival ships.

 

Have you done a Chef's Table on other lines? I would love to hear a comparison.
