I will on the Silhouette on Jan 26.

Can you tell me what time the cabin are open on embarkment?

On disembarkment day, what time does self disembarkment start where you carry your luggage off?

Cabins are typically ready at 1pm. Self- disembark has varied on the Celebrity cruises I have been on. I’ve experienced anywhere from 7:30 to 8:30am. It all depends on how quickly they get cleared by Customs/Immigration.

So our disembark from Getaway was a bit delayed due to congestion on the gangway, but we were on our way to our transportation just a 30 minute delay. After picking up Cindy and John at their hotel we arrived to Port Everglades a little after 11am. Not very crowded yet and we made it through security and check-in in under 10 minutes. We were then escorted to Michael’s Club which was already quite busy. We grabbed a seat at the bar and met the Concierge Niko. She confirmed the pre-cruise requests I made for a wedding party in our cabin for Cindy and John tomorrow after their ceremony and a birthday celebration for Mike on the 17th. Then it was on to Luminae where we are now comfortably relaxed awaiting our lunch. Bahamas Mamas coming right up!1dc4cf311f7b6bf9a5c3514b0c35a783.jpg

Lunch at Luminae was good. Service was friendly and efficient. Mike had the sausage and I had the burger. And then we shared the Macadamia Cake for dessert. Cindy and John had lunch in the buffet. Sharing the menu and photos of our meal. ae041badba1910bbbc8c7479530de65c.jpg3da06a6e251459d1e1939cbfbf74524f.jpg970039e9a35e742779c8f0c6c7161e83.jpgd13d6fca99e42e092505ef6c84108964.jpg51eb1b8970de6db2ba3fcb39ae173b72.jpg

We finished our lunch just about at 1pm. Mike had a smoke on the pool deck to wait out the remaining minutes and then we headed to our Royal Suite, cabin 1118. We’ve been in a Royal Suite before so knew what to expect. There were a few minor issues in the cabin; two drawers in the bathroom fell off their tracks and wouldn’t work. And the pillow to our chaise lounge on the balcony was missing. Mike reported the issues to the butler and the drawers were fixed immediately after the lifeboat drill. The pillow was apparently damaged and being repaired. No ETA on its return. We were also missing a few of the mixers and drinks we had requested for our complimentary mini-bar set-up and the butler said he would take care of those things. Our butler’s name is Dharma. Not sure if anyone here has had experience with him before. Sharing some photos of our suite.7d264e5b7e33508dc6f20d08a31bfc94.jpg2b8d64d815f4b795ece9517b6601a9e9.jpg86383fdfec0d03d42068bb349cac861d.jpg2e8d389d8368dada6abfb2beafc48b93.jpgf59b834e36bbd18c904de21fce293555.jpg4f37f7c6b899f0d795009bb37c9603a1.jpg

We just got off the Getaway today, too. We disembarked at 7:45 am so no delay at that time other than walking half way around the ship to the gangway. Looking forward to your review as we are on the 1/26/2018 sailing. Wondering if you could find out if cans of soda are available on the classic drink package? Thanks, Will be following along. Love the pictures you shared of your stateroom. Wow! Enjoy your cruise.

Our bags had shown up right as we had arrived to the room at 1pm so that meant no waiting around for them to show up. We unpacked and then I got a notice from Cindy that there was an issue with her beverage package. Apparently they only had a Classic Package on their account and they thought they had upgraded to Premium so they made her and John pay the upgrade cost when ordering their first drinks onboard. They went down to the front desk who called Celebrity reservations to review their booking. Cindy and John didn’t have their invoice with them to prove they had paid for the upgrade and they were unable to access their email to find a copy of their invoice due to poor cell reception. I had them come to our room and call Celebrity from my phone and have them email a copy of their invoice to my email address. When that was done we reviewed it and noticed a charge that appeared to be equal to the cost of the package upgrade on the invoice. So we headed down together to the front desk where there was a long line. The lifeboat drill was approaching in 30 minutes so all but one agent at the front desk disappeared slowing things down further. We got to the one agent at about 10 minutes before the drill. She couldn’t resolve the issue and had to call Celebrity. After a lot of back and forth and very confusing explanation, there was no record of them upgrading the package pre-cruise. They thought they had but must’ve forgotten. I was annoyed at them as this was a big waste of my time and of Celebrity staff. We had to sprint off to our respective muster stations at that point. Mike met me at ours in the main dining room. They showed two films both of which were new to us since we cruised Celebrity last May. The first was an animated short that featured a song about washing your hands. Looking around the room at everyone sitting there, no one was amused by it. The next film was about the safety procedures for the ship which was told through a James Bond-style story featuring a female spy. It was silly and painful to sit through but I give Celebrity credit for trying to switch it up to get people to watch.

After the drill we headed back to our suite to prepare for sailaway. John and Cindy came up to join us and we enjoyed some drinks and snacks out on our balcony. The sailaway was delayed for about 45 minutes though but we’re not sure why. We wound up leaving at 4:45. Once out of Port Everglades we were right into some choppy seas. It was very windy. Still managed to see a nice sunset though.17f7dfe11ae59ce1d6b1bacf2fe0ca8c.jpg2b536f5241dd9566bdf0d24870d815be.jpg8e056fdade4fb11d6408f3d26974c128.jpg932f30c29f94c351bf33a68cf68e5f6a.jpgcf2dab3a2180046426003db962918ee8.jpg

After sailaway, I called the Suite Manager Erick back as he had called during the sail-out to check that everything was okay in our cabin but he also wanted to speak to me once everyone else was out of the cabin to finalize the plans for the surprise wedding and birthday celebrations I had requested through the shoreside concierge. With that all set, Mike returned from a smoke and we got dressed for dinner. We would be dining alone tonight at Luminae as Cindy and John wanted to try the main dining room instead of paying the fee to join us. On our way out the door we ran into the Suites Manager Erick who had a new pillow for our balcony lounge chair. He introduced himself in person and said to let him know if we needed anything. Before heading to dinner we stopped at the spa to make appointments for the week. I booked a Hot Stones Massage and Deep Tissue Massage while Mike booked just a Deep Tissue, all to take place during sea days. Then it was on to Luminae. We were seated with the same waiter we had for lunch, a nice man named Rozy (I may be misspelling it) and his assistant the very friendly Maelyn. Dinner was excellent. Mike and I both had the Braised Beef Gnocchi, Moroccan Chicken and Hazelnut Cake for dessert. All were very tasty. After dinner it was to the casino where we collected our Blue Chip level free play and played slots for the rest of the evening.57d9a55facd18d5fb2f5f0139af5c2e7.jpgf83484474f817cb789c36a377ab926b1.jpg9d4351c8403c4893eddc31330bbddeb6.jpg569f79cbb7a6c5dda4b91c7e69bc3738.jpge634c1ae9347f18fe941a2e764783e21.jpg5595e9e08e702d42fe5d52c0c06b52b5.jpg

Thanks for doing this trip report, and best wishes to the Bride.

Can you share from which terminal in Port Everglades that you sailed? I think PE is still constructing/remodeling the terminal for the Edge although I have no idea of how far along it is. Also, is your Suite concierge Erik Guzman? If so, we adore him.

Excited to hear about how the party turns out.
