Globaliser Posted January 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2018 That's the most bucolic photo of Te Papa I've ever seen. I never thought it could be made to look like it lives in a rustic setting.
Rare Host Bonjour Posted January 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2018 Great list and yet still soooo many more choices, it’s the most beautiful and diverse place on earth because it has everything! I only saw South Island and got to a lot but yearned for more time. Get there any way you possibly can

Kiwi Kruzer Posted January 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 27, 2018 That's the most bucolic photo of Te Papa I've ever seen. I never thought it could be made to look like it lives in a rustic setting. It would have been taken from the bush walk on the harbour side of the building. diane.in.ny Posted January 27, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted January 27, 2018 And they still managed to omit some of the best places. Annie I can appreciate this. We spent about 12 days on a self-drive tour and should have spent three weeks.
Globaliser Posted January 28, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 28, 2018 It would have been taken from the bush walk on the harbour side of the building.I agree that it was on the harbour side of the building, but I think it must have been from somewhere in this green area: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Museum+of+New+Zealand+Te+Papa+Tongarewa/@-41.2902285,174.7830727,221a,35y,270h/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x9a409ffce82d9a30!8m2!3d-41.2904563!4d174.7820894 - look at the turret-shaped feature, and also the end of the canopy structure that runs along the south side of the building and shades the open-air car park beneath it. But most of all, I'm impressed that anyone found an angle that could make the building look remotely like it did. The first time I've ever seen such a photo of Te Papa.
