People over react with the smoke

Disagree - some people really do have issues with smoke and it can really bother them quite badly. But, while there are times when it's just about impossible to avoid smoke, the casino isn't one of those cases...it's very, very, very easy to avoid smoke in the casino by not going to it.

I think if someone wore a surgical mask others would get as far away from them as possible whether they are smokers or nonsmokers, they may think the mask wearers have something contagious. Of course that would also be helpful with crew selling stuff everywhere, I'm sure they would leave you alone.

I agree..Wearing a mask is very excessive IMO. Nobody is THAT severely affected by walking through smoke cigarette smoke for all of 30 seconds. And if you do have some rare medical condition that makes you spontaneously combust upon a millisecond of contact with cigarette smoke, then walk around it.

After my one (and done) experience on RC, I'm pretty sure they would be trying to sell me dining and drinks packages even as I was visibly dying of Ebola.

I've walked through plenty of casinos on these ships and I just don't see it. Yeah there is some smoke but nothing like so many people on here state. I'm sure this will anger some but why complain about walking through a place that allows smoking and you smell smoke. Also it's a place you can completely avoid. Same as the smoking area on the upper deck. I walked right by so many smokers and barely smelt anything. Yet I see so many people walking by making their disgusted faces and waving there hands at their faces. There is another side of the ship where there is no smoking remember. And I say all of this never smoking and not liking cigarette smoke. Oh well, my take on it. May not be popular but it's mine.

Walking through and trying to play with it hanging like a London Fog are two different things. I've never smoked either - maybe that's why it's so bothersome.

You sailed on RC once and are done, but on RC site on here commenting?????

1) Yes.

2) Check it out, you can browse all the recent posts on the whole site:

There are no rules about where you're allowed to post.

3) Your pet cruise line has unbelievably pushy sales tactics. I assumed it was exaggeration until I saw it in action for myself. And if you re-read, you'll see I wasn't even the first person to make the joke.

Are there masks available for walking thru the smoke-filled casino? We usually bring our own so that we can breathe. Of course, we don't play

No there are no masks.

There are always around the casinos and never a reason to go through them. Just stop walking through them.

Is it really that bad? just walking through the casino requires that a mask is needed? I never seem to notice. I just keep walking through. These casinos are not the giants you find in Vegas. Its a very short walk from one end to the other.

To me they are. I can’t even go to the Schooner Bar on...Freedom, I think, because of its proximity. They had Schooner in a different spot on Vision, I know that, and I loved being there. On either Freedom or Adventure, or maybe both, I couldn’t, though.

OP. No masks needed in Celebrity casinos.;p

Yep.

People diffenatly overreact and treat people who smoke as second class citizens .Im highly allergic to cigarette smoke all of my life but i have never had a problem coexisting with smokers

Apparently you are NOT actually highly allergic. If you were you wouldn’t consider reactions to be “over” reactions. :)

Be glad for yourself that you’re nowhere near as allergic as you’ve thought!

When I realize I’ve walked on the wrong side of the deck outside I simply don’t inhale and walk very quickly. And, even with that brief walkthrough, I can smell it on my clothes and especially my hair for ages. It’s not fun.

This is why Anthem is my favorite, Casino is located downstairs, never have to go through it to get to anywhere I want to go. I have checked out the casino on my early morning walks, but never when it is operational and so it is never smoky for me.

THIS is who I was referring to...the person posting right above my comment. They had ONE experience on RC and state "After my one (and done) experience on RC...), " but seeking out a RC thread. What's the point???

Just wrap a damp pool towel around your face while going thru the casino. Just remember to turn it in before 10pm on the 2nd to last night of the cruise or you will be charged $25. :)

Plus, the nice pale blue pool towels are a stunning fashion statement. :)

bahahahahah, I love it!

To the OP, I am with you. I feel and smell your pain with regards to smoke in casinos. We avoid at all costs and this is from someone who has been to China and INDIA (the incense will kill most rabbits). I always carry N95s with me and am tempted to whip one out of my clutch. The smoke coming out of that casino is atrocious. Have you ever gotten into an elevator with a smoker all dressed to the nines and stinking. If only, they could smell themselves, even they would be disgusted. And to make matters worse, blend in some strong perfume to mask their smoke smell and we have a prescription for hell. Sometimes, we fail to realize that the exit from the theatre heads smack dab into the casino and we are subjected unwillingly to that putrid offense. For a migraine sufferer, smoke can cause a major headache. If only they would ban smoking entirely from the ships, but oh, oh, up in smoke would go the tons of money spent by those smokers in the casino every night.
