Sauer-kraut Posted February 1, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 1, 2018 It’s called a donation. If you donate to charity do you expect something in return? Yes, a tax write off!
phoenix1181 Posted February 1, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 1, 2018 Yes, a tax write off! A tax write off can be a bonus but the donations happen with or without any tax benefit.
don't-use-real-name Posted February 2, 2018 #28 Share Posted February 2, 2018 The industry standard is a cookie and OJ. Wouldn't that industry standard be stretched to be a big ole fat sugar cookie and a full sugar content Pepsi. When I have given blood it has always been a Coke and Lorna Doones. We know that NCL does not have Coke and who knows of the availability of Nabisco's Lorna Doones !

Rare BirdTravels Posted February 2, 2018 #31 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Having worked in several “ small community hospitals” as well as US. Navy sick bays, I can say that no, it is not essentially like a small community hospital. It’s like a sick bay. Because it is a sick bay. What's the difference? Son of a son of a ... Posted February 2, 2018 #32 Share Posted February 2, 2018 What's the difference? Bird - A sick bay will triage, diagnose (if possible), stabilize, treat (if possible), or evacuate. Same protocol will a “small hospital” ... there are more precise categories of treatment centers, but this should suffice for CC
masterwinning Posted February 2, 2018 #33 Share Posted February 2, 2018 I really hope they throw you some OBC if you donate. Typically I donate for juice, cookies and a T-shirt. I can already get the juice and cookies so maybe a special shirt that says, I went on vacation and all I got for giving blood was this Tshirt. bob brown Posted February 2, 2018 #34 Share Posted February 2, 2018 I just witnessed this very situation aboard the Breakaway yesterday, and I’m happy to report that after just one single call for donor’s, they had to turn away volunteers, as so many kind folk’s responded... amid a thunderous round of applause by fellow passengers in the atrium...
