When I have given blood it has always been a Coke and Lorna Doones.

 

We know that NCL does not have Coke and who knows of the availability of Nabisco's Lorna Doones !

Having worked in several “ small community hospitals” as well as US. Navy sick bays, I can say that no, it is not essentially like a small community hospital. It’s like a sick bay. Because it is a sick bay.

Bird - A sick bay will triage, diagnose (if possible), stabilize, treat (if possible), or evacuate. Same protocol will a “small hospital” ... there are more precise categories of treatment centers, but this should suffice for CC

Typically I donate for juice, cookies and a T-shirt. I can already get the juice and cookies so maybe a special shirt that says, I went on vacation and all I got for giving blood was this Tshirt.

I just witnessed this very situation aboard the Breakaway yesterday, and I’m happy to report that after just one single call for donor’s, they had to turn away volunteers, as so many kind folk’s responded... amid a thunderous round of applause by fellow passengers in the atrium...
