excursion credit - multiple excursions

Hello.

 

I have the $50 excursion credit. Anyone know if you can book multiple excursions in a single port and have the credit cover both? Harvest Caye has two excursions that are $29 each. I was wondering if the credit would cover one, and I'd have to pay $29 for the second vs. getting the full $50 credit, and only having to pay $8.

I’ve never had the excursion credit, but my understanding from these boards is that it is strictly one per port. From the reports I’ve read I’d be very surprised if you could use them as you suggest here.

Interesting question as we have a similar one. We are doing Bermuda in May. we have the excursion perk as well. We were wondering if we combine all 3 excursion perks we have into one tour. What are we going to do with 3 $50 credits if we are only in one port? :confused:

It states quite clearly on the NCL website "$50 discount per cabin, per port."

I realize I can't combine multiple credits to use in one port, but was wondering if I could book multiple excursions and have the $50 cover both. For example, if I just booked the one at $29, I'm sure they will not put the whole $50 credit on my account. Just the $29 cost of that excursion. which is why I wanted to book the second $29 excursion to use up the remaining $21 in credit for that port (Harvest Caye).

Sorry, I did miss that bit. You weren’t asking whether you could get more than $50 against the same port, just whether it could be spread over two excursions on that day. I must read better in future. :)

 

As to the answer, I don’t know myself, but my guess is that you would get it, but you are likely to have to put in a bit of effort (going to the excursion desk) to get it.

 

I wouldn’t have thought you were the first person to be in this situation.

Yes. I have done it at Harvest Caye and GSC. One person can take 2 excursions and it’s not any different than 2 people in the same cabin going together on one.

 

The credit is per cabin per port/day so they assume most cabins are going to have multiple excursion tickets per day.

One Port, One Cabin, One Shorex, One $50; all the Ones. That is unless you pick up TWO perks of $50 each as is possible (normal perk and distinctive cruise)

I realize that you didn't ask this, but FYI if you have the $50 credit, and you are Platinum, you also get that discount as well!

But it doesn't say "one shore excursion" anywhere.

 

As long as you spend $50 in NCL excursions in a port, you should get the full $50 credit for that port. Whether you spend $50 on one excursion ticket or spread it over multiple tickets (either for two or more people on the same excursion, or several separate excursions). If it doesn't happen automatically, a visit to the shorex desk on board should do the trick.

does the shore excursion credit come off the reservation price or do they credit you card latter?

It comes off your onboard account once you've completed the excursion. So, if your excursion $100, you will see a credit of $50 once the excursion is completed. The $50 is per cabin, not per person.

thanks, I was pretty sure that would be the answer and I understand it. I was just hoping, because we only do one port we could do a combination. So it looks like our excursion perk really isn't worth that much on this cruise. ,
