Best Martini

I really like the James Bond martini (book recipe, not that vodka martini he drinks on film), had one made for me by Drazen at the Alchemy Bar...since I'll be there again very, very shortly, I think I'll ask for it again!

2 part Hendricks

1 part Vodka (as long as it is a quality vodka I really don't care which brand)

0.5 part dry vermouth

3 blue cheese stuffed olives

sometimes dirty, sometimes not.

(I also do a variation where I swap the ratio of gin and vodka.)

All of the "martini"and sidecar type drinks done at Alchemy are awesome!

Bombay Sapphire, spritz of Vermouth, and filthy.

Everything else is just a drink in a martini glass, although I do like some of them, Lemon Drop, Appletini, Cosmo.

For me it's a Dirty Martini with Bombay Sapphire, at the Atrium Bar before supper, usually 2, while listening to the music and watching all the people.

Indeed. Gin, vermouth, and olives. :D

Although I am always gladly open to experimentation at the Alchemy bar.

Likewise. :D

Once I have my set at the Alchemy, nothing is better than experimenting with the drinks and talking with the mixologists and guests. I usually prefer that to the shows. My next cruise is a Journey Cruise so I won't have the Cheers package, but that's OK, because the ship doesn't have an Alchemy Bar, lol. But it does have the Atrium. ;p

to me, you can't beat the Carnival Cosmo!!!!!

I tried the coconut martini but it was like straight up gasoline. I passed it around at the bar at the Serenity Deck and everyone agreed. We weren't scared of sharing because there was enough alcohol in that thing to kill any germ!

Yes, they used to have a Sea Blue martini that I LOVED! But I noticed that more recently it seems to have been replaced on the menu with a Blue Moon martini, which isn’t quite as good. Not sure what the exact difference is, but the Sea Blue had Sprite in it and the newer one doesn’t.

The Blue Moon is vodka, blue curacao and pineapple juice.
