jkneern Posted March 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Does anyone have a favorite that was made onboard? Did the martini tasting last time and loved the tiramisu.
coevan Posted March 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Magic, Atrium Bar, Glynda the bartender. With Cheers, 3 oz Belvediere Vodka, Vermouth and 3 olives, up and ice cold. Tipping works
crzndeb Posted March 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Bombay Sapphire, spritz of Vermouth, and filthy. Everything else is just a drink in a martini glass, although I do like some of them, Lemon Drop, Appletini, Cosmo.
LakeWobegon Posted March 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Following. My favorite on NCL was a chocolate espresso martini. Powerful stuff but really good.
skudy Posted March 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2018 I'm sailing in a little over 2 weeks and am eager to try the pineapple chipotle martini.
naxer Posted March 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2018 For me it's a Dirty Martini with Bombay Sapphire, at the Atrium Bar before supper, usually 2, while listening to the music and watching all the people.
camijo Posted March 1, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2018 I'm not a martini drinker. But the chocolate martini is yummy!
ProgRockCruiser Posted March 1, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2018 I really like the James Bond martini (book recipe, not that vodka martini he drinks on film), had one made for me by Drazen at the Alchemy Bar...since I'll be there again very, very shortly, I think I'll ask for it again! 2 part Hendricks 1 part Vodka (as long as it is a quality vodka I really don't care which brand) 0.5 part dry vermouth 3 blue cheese stuffed olives sometimes dirty, sometimes not. (I also do a variation where I swap the ratio of gin and vodka.) All of the "martini"and sidecar type drinks done at Alchemy are awesome!

Gin, vermouth, and olives. :D Although I am always gladly open to experimentation at the Alchemy bar.
Jkodko Posted March 1, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Favorite is a French martini and a dirty martini. It my experience only select few know how to make the French martini except the alchemy bartenders of course can make anything...

naxer Posted March 1, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Indeed. Gin, vermouth, and olives. :D Although I am always gladly open to experimentation at the Alchemy bar. Likewise. :D Once I have my set at the Alchemy, nothing is better than experimenting with the drinks and talking with the mixologists and guests. I usually prefer that to the shows. My next cruise is a Journey Cruise so I won't have the Cheers package, but that's OK, because the ship doesn't have an Alchemy Bar, lol. But it does have the Atrium. ;p
ricew001 Posted March 1, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 1, 2018 to me, you can't beat the Carnival Cosmo!!!!! I tried the coconut martini but it was like straight up gasoline. I passed it around at the bar at the Serenity Deck and everyone agreed. We weren't scared of sharing because there was enough alcohol in that thing to kill any germ! bakersdozen12 Posted March 1, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Yes, they used to have a Sea Blue martini that I LOVED! But I noticed that more recently it seems to have been replaced on the menu with a Blue Moon martini, which isn’t quite as good. Not sure what the exact difference is, but the Sea Blue had Sprite in it and the newer one doesn’t. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
ray98 Posted March 1, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Depends on if you are talking about a martini of a foo foo drink served in a martini glass.

TrqoisWtrs Posted March 1, 2018 #19 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Dirty (or filthy depending on how much olive juice I want :D) with Grey Goose and blue cheese olives. The Basil Drop from Alchemy is good also, and particularly dangerous. :cocktail::cocktail:;p
