Late flight out of FLL after my cruise- suggestions???

Our flight home does not leave until 8pm and we plan to rent a car for the day. We will have lots of time and I am looking for ideas. Does anyone have suggestions for fun daytime activities in FLL? Thanks!

Water Taxi can be a 3 hour event, or all day.

 

Have you looked to see what your cruise line offers in the way of excursions?

Have you considered doing an everglades airboat activity.

Yes, our ship arrives back in Miami but we fly out of FLL so we thought renting a car and exploring would be good.

We enjoyed taking an airboat ride in December before a cruise. It's something we had never done in our almost 30 years of taking cruises out of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. We've also enjoyed taking the water taxis. We've done that, however, when we had a full day to enjoy it.

Others mention Sawgrass Mall.

 

A nice lunch.

 

The airboat ride.

 

Driving the scenic A1A.

 

Or a combination of some of these items.
