Kiwi_cruiser Posted March 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2018 I just realised that on Thursday (22rd March 2018) was Diamond Princess last time in Sydney! :( Here are a couple of web cam captures of her last day in Sydney: It will be a while before we see her back in Australia and New Zealand :(, hope she will be back one day soon :)

blakeislandbooks Posted March 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Those pictures are so wonderful - thank you so much for putting them up. I'm onboard the Diamond, in fact, and have a couple pictures of her departure on the blog I'm trying to keep up with: http://blakeislandjourneys.com/diamond-princess-how-to-find-your-cabin-coffee-chocolate-and-a-fave-sparkling-swimming-pool/

BuzzBuzzen Posted March 25, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Diamond Princess leaving Sydney: - 22rd March 2018 If you look closely in photos 5 &6 through the Harbour Bridge you can just make out Pacific Explorer on it's way to follow. I was watching the Sydney webcam that day and noted both ships arrived about 10 minutes apart and departed the same 10 minutes apart. Cheers, Buzz. GUT2407 Posted March 25, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Love ye olde Diamond Princess, decent size, decent facilities.:p We were worried she would be too big, but on the whole enjoyed her. It was too many passengers for some Ports in our opinion.
MirrorlessKiwi Posted March 26, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 26, 2018 (edited) If you look closely in photos 5 &6 through the Harbour Bridge you can just make out Pacific Explorer on it's way to follow. I was watching the Sydney webcam that day and noted both ships arrived about 10 minutes apart and departed the same 10 minutes apart. Cheers, Buzz.We passed Pacific Explorer (the old Dawn Princess, of course) on the 23rd as she was heading north. We were heading to Sydney from Brisbane, on board sister ship Sea Princess. Not passed another cruise ship at sea before. Very cool sight. Sent from an app, on a phone. Edited March 26, 2018 by MirrorlessKiwi
crochetcruise Posted March 27, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Just looked at the Cruise Calendar in the back of the brochure, the Diamond Princess is listed as being in Japan until March 27th 2019 I think. HTH.
