Tee & Chilli Posted June 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2018 If this is your first time In Nassau, you may enjoy Atlantis. I usually do not get off the ship.
cruisinfanatic Posted June 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 21, 2018 Last year the weather was a bit cloudy so the great beach on Paradise Island was out. Instead we did our own walking tour to Queens Staircase and Fort Fincastle
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted June 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 21, 2018 We stay on the ship, but if you like to have a nice lunch go to Twin Brothers at the Fish Frye.

maryjaden Posted June 22, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 22, 2018 We had kids with us so we went to Flamingo show at the zoo, then to Pirate Museum. Prices were reasonable and had fun.

LeeW Posted June 22, 2018 #14 Share Posted June 22, 2018 Wood carver's row in the straw market is a great place to buy gifts. Or watch them carve.
wendychloecruiser Posted June 22, 2018 #15 Share Posted June 22, 2018 The best thing in Nassau is the ship you’re on at the time. ...
Getting out there Posted June 22, 2018 #16 Share Posted June 22, 2018 Another vote for the zoo and the fort that is by it. Easy public transportation to get there.
Rare Rewind Posted June 22, 2018 #17 Share Posted June 22, 2018 I've done the walking tour before. Also have gone over to Atlantis. No comment if I have been able to get into the Dig after the front person leaves for the evening.
emory2001 Posted June 22, 2018 #18 Share Posted June 22, 2018 You can also check the Ports of Call board for the Bahamas. I enjoy Atlantis, including the water park there, and dolphin swim. But I've also stayed on the ship in Nassau. If it's your first time there, I'd find something to do and see it once.
rkkunk Posted June 22, 2018 #19 Share Posted June 22, 2018 We had kids with us so we went to Flamingo show at the zoo, then to Pirate Museum. Prices were reasonable and had fun.[/ Did you really enjoy the zoo? We went there with our son about 4 years ago. The flamingo show was cute but that was the most pathetic zoo I have ever been to. And it seemed like they didn’t take care of the animals very well. They had a leopard or some kind of a big cat (sorry I don’t remember what it was exactly) that had an open wound. Half of the exhibits were empty. It was definitely not worth it to us. If we go there now, we stay on the ship.
