umpisoccer Posted July 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Did anyone see the new chair hog policy on the Carnival Pride? If someone leaves towels on a chair to save it for longer then 45 minutes a staff worker places a sign on the chair stating that your materials have been taken to the towel station for safe keeping - you can pick them up there. Maybe the NCL Bliss should start this policy in the Observation Lounge. Sent from my SM-G935V using Forums mobile app
thistimeplease Posted July 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2018 I just had a friend return from the Bliss and said there was never any issue getting chairs in the observation lounge. When I asked about people sleeping in the lounge they said they never noticed anyone doing it.

They place a sticker on the lounger with the time on it. However, it is definitely hit and miss on whatever CCL ship you sail on - definitely not consistent throughout the ships! umpisoccer Posted July 2, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Glad to hear that chair hogging was not a problem on your Bliss cruise. We are on the ship next week and are really looking forward to using the Observation Lounge at times.
dogs4fun Posted July 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 2, 2018 It would be nice if they would enforce such policies on all cruise lines.
david_sobe Posted July 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Perhaps NCL should develop a chair hog policy: 1st Offense: Piglet – Verbal Warning 2nd Offense: Pig - Official Written Warning 3rd Offense: Feral Pig– ½ day Ban from Observation lounge 4th Offense: Wild Boar – Full Day Ban from pool deck and observation lounge 5th Offense: Confirmed Chair Hog – Tossed into the Brig for one night 6th Offense: Bacon – Chopped into pieces and served at the buffet
casofilia Posted July 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 2, 2018 I was wondering how they would do it. Have someone whose job is to go round all day and putting stickers on chairs? What do they do about people who go round taking them off!!

What do they do about people who go round taking them off!!I can't remember which cruise line, but they put blue dots on loungers with times on them and folks would come around and take them off of their loungers and then go about their business doing whatever they were doing. Nothing was ever done to them,

Trimone Posted July 3, 2018 #13 Share Posted July 3, 2018 Somebody will probably tip the staff worker when he announces he’s not on the DSC program?
indyguy65 Posted July 4, 2018 #14 Share Posted July 4, 2018 We were on the Getaway two weeks ago. There was a pool attendant coming around every 30 and putting stickers on the chairs. Once it hit one hour he took everything off the chair and put it in a pile. Created quite a situation when the chair hogs came back hours later. They tried to blame the people in the chairs but I told them it was an NCL pool attendant that did it. They were all none too happy about it. I just laughed!
