paul929207 Posted August 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2018 For pricing info, you are better going to a travel agent or Princess. They can give you the price for specific cuises.
leaveitallbehind Posted August 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Pricing will vary and is market driven based on ship, itinerary, date, and length of cruise. The only way to determine specific pricing and differences between stateroom categories is contact the cruise line directly or a travel agent regarding the itinerary you are interested in. They can also discuss the differences between the stateroom categories in terms of amenities, size, location on the ship, to help you decide on the best value for your preferences. Rare Essiesmom Posted August 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Folks on the Princess forum here can help you with this. It is located back on the main boards page under Cruise Lines P-Z. EM
Kartgv Posted August 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Here's the link to the Princess board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=197 For future full benefit from Cruise Critic, make sure to go to the Board home page and look at the full display of different boards/topics that you can utilize. In many cases, the only difference between a Princess balcony and deluxe balcony is location - a better deck (not over or under public areas) or closer to the center of the ship. In other cases, the balcony may be larger; if this is the case, you can usually tell by looking at the deck plans for your ship - a noticeably larger balcony will be easy to spot. The cabins themselves are almost always the same in size, layout, and amenities. A good travel agent should be able to check specifics, or try looking at the 'sticky' thread on cabin reviews on the Princess board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2233606
jlp20 Posted August 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2018 When the Regal was built, there were interior, balcony, mini suite and suites. Although no walls moved, somehow DELUXE BALCONY WAS CREATED. If you think different linens and shampoo is worth ANY extra money, go for it. SusieKay Posted August 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2018 We cruised on the Royal Princess (identical to the Regal). Our deluxe balcony had a small sofa, and was a bit larger than a regular balcony cabin, but not as large as a mini suite. We liked having more space to sit rather than just one chair or the bed and thought it was worth the price difference. GUT2407 Posted August 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2018 It varies greatly, we once got a delux balcony for $1 more that a standard was on offer. On another line we got one for less than a standard.
