Hello,

I still consider myself a newbie since I've only been on one cruise with Carnival. (Thanks to everyone for weighing in; I went with the popular vote and had a great time.) Now, we're booking a cruise for Feb 2019 with a different cruise line. Here are the three I've narrowed down to. Which would you choose?

  • A) NCL (Norwegian Epic), 7 night
  • Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas
  • Falmouth, Jamaica
  • Georgetown, Cayman Islands
  • Cozumel, Mexico

  • B) Royal Caribbean (Oasis), 7 night
  • Labadee, Haiti
  • Falmouth, Jamaica
  • Cozumel, Mexico

  • C) Royal Caribbean (Adventure), 7 night
  • Falmouth, Jamaica
  • Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
  • Costa Maya, Mexico
  • Cozumel, Mexico

We have oasis booked same islands , Cozumel is one of our favorite ports been there about 20 times, Haiti is just a very large private beach with a buffet , loads of bars and other things , can not wait to sail on oasis , loads of entertainment and restaurants .

We really enjoy the "private island" beach days...so I would choose a cruise that includes that. If you aren't into beaches, then it won't matter much!

We also like more port days...so a 7-nighter with only 3 stops isn't for us!

Western Caribbean is not my first choice however, I enjoy the ships themselves as much or more than the islands sometimes. Oasis (B) would be my choice. And Labadee would be the only place that I would get off of the ship. Oasis has so much to do that a week really isn't long enough to try it all!!

C - I like the ship and I prefer REAL ports, rather than cruise lines' private islands. That said, when cruising a Western Caribbean itinerary, I typically try to find one that includes some more variety of ports, throwing in Belieze and/or Roatan. My personal preference is for southern Caribbean cruises because of the number of accessible ports and the variety they feature.
