wannagonow123 Posted September 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2018 Next Monday we will be boarding the Fantasy for 10 day Panama Cruise sailing. We do not depart Mobile until 6pm. (Paperwork says 5pm final boarding). I know muster will be sometime after 5. with that being said, any idea how dinner is handled? Those with early seating will miss their time due to muster, and if crew is doing muster with us, who's cooking?
chengkp75 Posted September 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2018 I can't tell you what time the early sitting will be, but it will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate the muster. Also, only about 30% of crew are involved with a passenger muster drill, so there will be plenty still in the galley cooking.
Joebucks Posted September 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2018 On my last cruise with a sailing past 6 pm, it was all your time dining.
Luckiestmanonearth Posted September 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2018 On my last cruise with a sailing past 6 pm, it was all your time dining. Same experience on the Magic recently. Depending on when you go, could be a bit of a wait Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cb at sea Posted September 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2018 They usually push dinner back a bit on boarding day, to accommodate Muster drill.
Lovefuninthesun Posted September 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 10, 2018 In the past when we have boarded and departed later than normal, they have announced that it was all open seating, and it operated like YTD.

RWolver672 Posted September 11, 2018 #9 Share Posted September 11, 2018 In the past when we have boarded and departed later than normal, they have announced that it was all open seating, and it operated like YTD. On our last cruise on the Paradise, for some reason which escapes me, they had open seating one night. We had to go to our assigned dining room and was escorted to a table instead of sitting at our normal spot. They were placing people in one area instead of having a few spread out all over the room. If nothing else, we got to know six more people that we hadn't met before.

Maybe open seating, maybe not. However, you will get dinner!!!!!!!!
