OBC - Casino question

Or whatever they are calling that "watch" thingy - it's the same concept as medallion.

That watch thing didn't seem to work at some slot machines.

It’s a wow band and it’s not entirely the same concept as medallion.

Your seapass card or Wowband on Rotal only allows you to track your play and accumulate points. It has never allowed you to put money directly onto the slot machines.

Just off Allure today. We were able to get cash at casino from our on board account and paid a 5% fee. This came from our non-refundable on board credit. We were able to withdraw our refundable on board credit on last day of cruise at Guest Services. No questions asked...no problems.

What? It's exactly the same concept. And I was able to download money on the Seapass card - I can't remember if I tried it with the wrist band thingy

You can get money at the casino cashier from your seapass card but you cannot use your seapass to play the slot machines. That is unless it is a very recent change.

Is that still current? The last time I tried to do that, the cashiers desk would not give me cash, and sent me to one of the tables to buy chips.

So, you buy chips, walk back to the cage and cash them in.

Ummm...yeah...that's what I did.

Silly to have to go that route though. My comment was not all ship casino cashiers will give you cash on your seapass account, making you go to the table for chips.

Does this still work with non-refundable on board credit?  Most of the discussions in this thread appear to reference refundable on board credit.

Yes, still works.  When you withdraw cash at the casino, do not mention OBC.  You simply want an advance against your onboard account.  If you tell them you want to play slots, they may give you a slot ticket which you can put in any machine and immediately cash out.  Some ships now have machines that let you directly use your SeaPass card to get a credit on the machine.  In this case you can do the same thing, immediately cash out.
