Thanks for staying with us through our journeys. We could not pick any of the cruises offered onboard cause they did not match our school schedule. Lil bits did find a 14 day Mediterranean cruise she liked [emoji12]!

 

We got two booked for 2109 so we ain't exactly hurting to sail.

Disembarkation

 

I jumped up early as usual and made it up to the top deck just as we were entering the channel.

Logistics are up ready for us to dock and off in the distance the airport is coming to life.

 

After I left top deck I roamed the ship one more time for good measure.

Somewhere on my journey I made fatal flaw number 1. I lost my room card. No prob, I went to GS and got a new one. I go back to the room and get the girls up. We have luggage tag 2 so we are heading off early. No need to get bfast bc we are eating with my brotha when we get off the boat.

It is at this point I realized fatal flaw number 2. I pull out the cards to disembark and there is one for daddy, one for teenie, then two for daddy. Apparently, I had loss mama's card earlier not mine. The line at GS is booming now so I ask one of the staff if we REALLY need the card to get off. He says no just show your ID and you are good.

 

We get up to the kiosk and the guy is super confused. Apparently this WAS his first rodeo! He fumbles for like 5 mins then a supervisor comes over. She does a few things, checks all of our ID, then says your free to go.

So my brother texted me and said they would not let him in the port to pick us up eventhough he had copies of our manifest paperwork.

 

No problem. We dialed up an Uber to get us out the port. Well the uber arrives then calls me and says security won let him around the corner to pick us up. We needed to walk to him.

 

At this point I am wondering who I pissed off. One lost card, one bad replacement card, one extended disembark, brother can't get into port, now Uber can't get to me, and its only 9 AM.

 

 

Eventually we make it out and rendezvous with family.

After driving for what felt like an eternity we get to my brother's fav bfast spot.

The food was good but could not compare to the ship because at the end this showed up!

Where is that meal plan I've been depending on?

 

All jokes aside the meal was very good!

 

Meanwhile this one is still on Cloud 9.

So the worse part of flying is baggage check but I had a plan. We had 15 lbs to spare flying down knowing we would pick up more stuff to bring back.

 

We ever so eloquently rearranged things in the CVS parking lot and then locked the cases up for shipping. Hey better there than at the Delta terminal.

We said our goodbyes and made our way to wait for our bird.

Then life caught up with the girls!

This was another full flight and someone decided our seats were better than theirs. Thanks to the goodness nature of the other passengers it got worked out for the better on our part. I was just disturbed that they just took our seats without even thinking of asking first.

It was fun but at this point I'm ready for it to be over. The plane ride was smoother than heading down and our trip through ATL was uneventful.

The train ride back topside went quick. When we hit 5 Points the train was flooded with Falcons Fans. The game had just ended and they lost in the last seconds [emoji2]!

I'm a Steelers fan and could not wait to call my brother to rub it in.

Now is where fatal flaw #3 happens.

We get to the exit gates for the train station and low-n-behold someone whom shall remain nameless lost the breeze passes.

 

Yes we are stuck inside the gates with no way out.

 

I would've taken a pic but mama was giving me the "I Wish You Would Take Another Picture When We Are Trapped" look.

 

Eventually, a young lady had mercy on us and used her card to get us out.

 

We had no more incident between there and home [emoji14].
