That would be wonderful and much appreciated. We're casino at sea (and on land) people and love our Haven time.

To quote my 89 year old mother when I suggested we book a Disney cruise -- why would you expect me to travel on a ship without a casino.

 

Haha. Or a ship full of Kids!!?!

Yes there is. All Norwegian ships run $2/5 no limit games. Smaller ships sometimes have trouble filling the table on a regular basis. But no problem on the mega ships.

I played on the Hold’em Table every night on my last 2 Getaway cruises.

 

Rake is too aggressive, but if you get the right pit boss, and you’ve been playing at the table for awhile, sometimes they’ll forgo the rake.

 

As the night goes on, the table gets more aggressive with play, which I like. That’s when the people who fashion themselves as some sort of “pro” get crazy. Getting big pots is easier that way.

 

Agree about the megaships filling the Hold’em table. It was a bit more difficult when I sailed the smaller GEM. Still, fun!

I've never had the rake waived, or even lowered. I'm guessing you asked for it?

 

On the Jade, we had four regular players, and a few others would filter through sot here was always a game, except for the last night. On the Gem we never got a game going all week. There were ten players for the tournament, but no cash games.

I don't spend tons of time in the Casino but I do spend a fair amount of time in it. I'd be interested in following your casino Bliss report since we board November 3. I'm interested on the kind of slot machines they have and the minimum bets on table games.

 

We’re onboard Nov 3rd as well 😃

 

I was just looking at some photos of the casino and the table minimums on BJ, Ultimate Texas Holdem, 3 card poker were all $10 minimum

 

Roulette was $2 chips with a minimum of 5 chips on the inside numbers

Yes and they do charge 3% unless you attain (or have attained) Sapphire tier and above.

Sorry we didn’t do the live review. After I realized the cruise critic forums were down for the first three days of our cruise, I abandoned the idea. However, I would be happy to answer any questions anyone would have regarding haven, casino, spa, specialty dining, etc. we had an amazing cruise. Won a ton of jackpots in the casino, but still gave more than I won.. lol. But, let me know of anything on your mind.

We're on the Bliss Nov. 24 and are also casino enthusiasts. I posted a separate thread asking about the casino bar on the Bliss, but seeing this thread would love to hear your thoughts. We spent an inordinate amount of time at the Cascade Bar in the Epic casino, and had a terrific time playing video poker for hours, people-watching, and getting to know the bartenders. So, how's the Bliss casino bar? It's hard to even find photos of it.

Yep, just got off the Getaway and put $800 on my room prior to going.  They still charged a 3% fee to get money from money I had placed for my own On Board Credit!

Just got back from TA on Jade. I play mostly craps & bj. At casino at least 3-4hrs a night. But hardly rated any points. Slot players get much more credit/points than table players. But I still Iove CAS

There is, at least there was last week. 2-5 NL,  10% take capped at $25 per pot.
