Roaring 20's night on QM2?

I just saw a reference to a Roaring 20's themed night. Is that going to happen on our QM2 transatlantic next December? One of our daughters had a 20's themed wedding, so we can bring seriously apt dress if it will happen.

 

also, do masquerade nights always happen? What other themes might I be missing?

These are the main themes for 2018, hopefully the equivalent for 2019 will be posted after the World Cruises.

We found the themes on our Vacation planner, but I booked just a few months prior to sailing.  As it is over Christmas and 12 days long, we have 3 theme balls - Cunard, Christmas and Black and White (which seems to be for every sailing).

I am on  Fjords cruise in May 2019 and it now list the “Theme” for the Balls on my Voyage Planner.

 

The two are The Black And White Ball and Masquerade Ball.

 

I hope they are correct as I am just about to start making my black and white evening gown!!!

We are on the QV in 3 weeks time for the round trip Caribbean cruise. I really enjoy the Roaring Twenties nights on board as  there are always some gorgeous outfits, and it is easy and enjoyable to participate in. However, our VP is showing 2 Roaring Twenties gala evenings on this cruise. Is Cunard loosing its imagaination?

Black/white night seems fairly easy to dress for and may be able to get something for the 20s night but what proportion of ladies wear a red or gold dress at the Cunarder ball?

Well, for Cunard ball, I am re-wearing black and because I sew, I have made a red chiffon assymetrical cape with gold sequin neck trim. If red or gold are not your 'colours' then use it as accessories, but if I had a current red dress, I would be wearing it.

Fairly low I would say, I have worn red or black with a gold evening jacket but last trip I wore navy with gold.

After Black & White, the 'Roaring 20's themed evenings' have now become the most popular. Almost 75% of the ladies will dress up for it , including some guys who dress up as gangsters , however, in my opinion those guys would look much better in a 'traditional double breasted' plain black tuxedo with a wing collar dress shirt , much more in keeping from those Golden Days of Ocean Travel.  

 

An outfit for ladies is very easy and quite simple, as most ladies will have a black dress hanging in their closet. 

 A complete set of 20's accessories ( long black gloves, large string of cheap pearls, fake cigaret holder and feathers etc etc)  can be found on Amazon for just a couple of pounds.

All items for my outfit, dress, shoes etc bought on amazon, white tux vest also bought on amazon for the tux.

 

for the Cunard ball, wore red dress, and for the upcoming cruise will be wearing gold dress

Most people don't dress specifically for any ball, with the exception of the Black & White Ball (easiest because the men are generally already there).

Where do you find the themes for the Balls on the Voyage Planner. I can't find them for Alaska.

I look forward to seeing the themes for our Gala nights too!! Every so often I check the Voyage Personaliser, just to see... until then, I think about what I "could" wear! 😀

Returned from QM2 roundtrip Transatlantic today and was very surprised at how many "dressed up" in 20s dress for the Roaring 20s Ball in Queens Room.

HELP...  I don't understand how to know what themes are on a particular voyage.  I'm cruising West Bound, from Southampton to NYC on 4/28/19.  

 

Where do I go to find the theme night(s) for this voyage?
