Please tell me how to reply to a specific post without quoting the original.  Not create a new topic.

You type into the box under the post that says "Reply to this topic".

[Globaliser]

And if you can't see where that is, click the blue button at the top of each page of the thread that says "Reply to this topic".

 

That will take you to the text entry box that Host Clarea referred to, which is at the bottom of the page, and it will open it up ready for you to start typing.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing...

 

I quoted a POST made by KCHawks in the THREAD titled "Reply to Post".

 

If you want to reply in a thread without quoting a post, follow the instructions above.

 

If you want to reply to a post without quoting that post, follow the instructions above, but just know it might be hard to understand that you're replying to a specific post.  Quotes are great for context.

You cannot. The forum does not group a post with replies to that post. The only way to comment on a particular post is to quote it or provide sufficient detail in your post that the context becomes clear.

if you scroll past  the post  there is  a small box at the bottom  your Avatar  is next to the box  "reply to this topic"

click in the box  & write your reply

Are you accessing the Roll Call via the "Find Your Roll Call" link?

 

If so, that doesn't work.  You need to manually go to the Roll Call forum and find your Roll Call, then post there like you did here.

I have posted a lot in this roll call but I got an update for my pc and now it does not work any longer with firefox. But I realized I can post if I use chrome.

I think, I just have to wait for the next update to post with firefox again. So thank you for your help.
