shutterbug63 Posted November 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2018 (edited) I've searched for the answer here, and can't really find a clear answer. For anyone who has taken the Alaska Railroad to Whittier to board a Princess ship recently, how is luggage handled? Is it handled like it was when someone takes the train to Seward (i.e, tagged at depot and you don't see it again until it's delivered to your cabin), or does it go on the train with you? If it does on the train with you, are you responsible for getting it from the depot/platform to the ship? If so, how far is that? Thanks - any info would be greatly appreciated. Suzanne123 Posted November 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2018 In my experience, the luggage to Whittier was handled the same way as to Seward. You give your luggage to a rairoad employee at the station, and you next see it on board the ship.

Rare Essiesmom Posted November 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2018 (edited) How far? This is the terminal at Whittier with the train tracks and a piece of a train on them. EM Edited November 23, 2018 by Essiesmom
wolfie11 Posted November 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2018 They take it at the lodge and it’s outside your cabin on the ship.

Check your luggage in Anchorage, and see it again in your cabin.
