vtcruising Posted November 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2018 (edited) This thread is for Edge cabin information compilation. Please do not post cabin questions on this thread so that it can remain a place to post reviews of cabins. The spreadsheet has a tab at the bottom that describes the posting format and another tab that has terminology and tips for how to complete your review. There is also a tab for how to search the spreadsheet and another tab with Edge resources. This is the Edge Class Cabin Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bFHV6Ax0FmbzTqHb1e6eCeLpGe9SEBZPJeJ4K472toY/edit#gid=0 Posting Cabin Information: Please copy and paste the following, including the colons " : " into a post. Add your information, including photos or links to photos, if you wish. The information will be transferred to the spreadsheet. Thanks for your participation! The How To Search tab has instructions and there is also a "How To Search" informational sheet with screen shots that I have linked below (there is also a link on the Search tab). https://boards.cruisecritic.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=361078 Photo Links: Edited November 23, 2018 by vtcruising 5

Loved the Kelly Hoppen rocker. Plenty of storage. Balcony furniture not conducive to relaxation/sunbathing or having room service on the balcony. No coffee table. Bed close to closet/cabinet/bathroom entrance so often a traffic jam in that area. Had some mild soot on the balcony. Toilet slow to flush at times. kkmiausa Posted December 8, 2018 #13 Share Posted December 8, 2018 What I find ironic is that the configuration of the sunset verandas seems to be better than the Corner S1's or am I mistaken? The sunset veranda has the stand up shower and no bathtub and the nice trough sinks and the room looks a bit larger.

Learned to check window status when entering to see if the window operation was in lock out mode. Just tap the panel, settings and read the lock - yes or no - status. Closet held 24 hangers plus two robes. Put the Aqua mats under the lounge chair to make space in closet for pop up laundry basket. Drawer in bath holds extra tissues and hair dryer. The plug box box had spaces for one European plug, two American plugs and two USB ports. Could fit Canon camera battery upside down (opposite my home plug). SeaWatch12 Posted December 25, 2018 #20 Share Posted December 25, 2018 Date of Cruise: 12/9/18 Ship: Edge Cabin #: 8103 Deck #: 8 Cabin Category: 06-Oceanview Cabin Location: Front Facing Bed Position: By Bathroom Balcony Type: N/A Balcony/Window Size: Very large floor to ceiling oval window Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: Helipad/Winch Only area, otherwise a wonderful view of whatever is in front of the ship Balcony Overhang?: N/A Magic Carpet Issues?: No Noise Issues?: Yes, very severe noise issues. There was a major noise problem each night from midnight to 2AM. There is an open area below the room under the “winch only” platform. It turns out that is where staff/crew go to have fun and enjoy themselves. I don’t wish to deny anyone the right to have fun, but it caused us to lose sleep and guests should not be subjected to this kind of noise. After three nights of this noise issue we reported it to Kristie, the Captain’s Club Hostess who worked with guest relations to move us to a room on Deck 12. Wind Issues?: No Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: Yes to 8101, opposite the bathroom. No noise issues from the connecting cabin at any time. Suite Details: Advantages/Problems/Comments: The drain from the shower in 8103 would back up and it caused water to leak on the bathroom floor all the way to the front of the toilet. We reported it to both the attendant and guest relations. Since we did not complete the cruise in this cabin, I don't know if the issue was corrected. The deck 12 cabin did not have this problem. Also, being so far front, there was noise and vibrations when the ship docked. Would You Book It Again?: No. The cabin space was excellent with the large seating area at the window. We did not miss a balcony at all. But if you are sensitive to sounds during the night, this would not be the cabin for you . Celebrity should take action to stop the noise created by their employees that disturb passengers. Photos or Photo Links: 1

Where Does it Connect?: No Suite Details: NA Advantages/Problems/Comments: We had a scooter, It did fit into cabin. The location was at beginning of a section that juts out. That meant that outside the cabin there was a bit more room which allowed us to park the scooter during the day for a few hours without disrupting cart and scooter traffic. Near forward elevator. But for better access... being located near aft elevator better for scooter users since it would be easier to get to Martini Bar, Guest relations and Destination Gateway...as well as most restaurant. Chaise lounge seat height 15" too low if you have bad knees... so I brought 3" bed risers... which raise the seat height to 18". See photo Would You Book It Again?: Yes... but if we use a scooter I would move to one closer to aft elevator Photos or Photo Links: 3
