Some in high categories may have covid and must cancel the cruise- so their suites will come up at the last minute.

Winning bids that close in are kinda rare, though one could ask on board for it.

Well I've just received my confirmation email!

Went from Balcony OV to JS for about $400 total on Odyssey on June 19th

It took almost a week since the status changed to pending and couldn't be modified.

That is a great score!

can someone help confirm if I have to wait until the 30 day mark from sailing and if I’ll be notified of my options to bid?

We got the RoyalUp offer a couple of weeks ago and our cruise is 22 July so we're still 60 days away.  Which means we got the email at about the 75 day mark.

Is there a post or a sticky that is seen as the best advice before bidding?
are we allowed to share screenshots of our royal up email to let others weigh in on how to win?

Bidding is personal and very subjective- it all depends on what value you place on the cabin you want and understand that there’s no fool proof way or trick to winning- oh, your chances of winning are very dependent on inventory which changes all the time. Also, don’t get sucked in by all the marketing- check self upgrade prices before bidding.

Awarded our ROYALUP bid today for the Anthem June 17th.

Went from JS to OS.

Min bid was 1,000 and we bid 125.00 over the min.

Very Excited

Totally worth the $1,125 IMO - SCORE !!

Confused!

My bid is showing pending, cruise in 3 weeks time.  I have tried to alter the bid (increase it) but it doesn't give me the option, can anyone advise why this might be and how to go about getting access to increase the bid?

OK strange update.  I bid on 5 upgrades,4 showed expired and 1 pending as discussed above.  Today the pending bid changed to no upgrade available.  The expired bids all changed back to pending.  I just wondered if this is a normal situation.  Also all the now pending bids are suite categories and are all sold out, so how can they be pending?

Not sure there's a normal - don't try to look for patterns or hints of what will happen - just look for a charge on the credit card

Hi Biker does the credit card get charged, before the set sail pass changes to the new room?

I want to say that my card was charged before it showed the new room # last time I won an upgrade.

The other day the first that thing that happened was the charge on my card, I get text alerts for all charges.   I was on my computer at the time and logged into my reservation within seconds and saw the new cabin number. Then about 3 min later came the email 🙂

Jumping on the Royalup train! CHOO! CHOO! Come on RU be good to momma. They sent a 2nd email asking for bids with less than 2 weeks until our cruise. Let's see what happens. 9 days until we board.

Here’s my guess…they were considering that one bid, but ran out of rooms in that category before your bid made made it to the top of winning list…thus that upgrade was unavailable.  The rest of your bids are pending again…should a cabin come available (a cancellation, for example) your bid could be considered along with all those other bids from other passengers.

Sorry that upgrade did not come through.

WAAHOO!!  I won my bid to upgrade. Text alert from CC company 9:36AM; email from Royal with new invoice with new stateroom number at 9:38AM; 2nd email from Royal Your RoyalUp bid has been accepted at  9:39AM.

I just did a mock booking. I saved $877. I'm quite pleased.

It's a connecting cabin and there are several non connecting cabins available. I'm thinking about calling and having my cabin switched.

HAPPY TUESDAY TO ME!!! I'm so excited!!!

RoyalUP is showing pending on the JS while the resuming bids for higher categories are expired. I was really hoping to get one of those higher suites, so I was wondering is there the option to pay at the port for an upgrade if there is space available? Thanks 🙂

I should note that this cruise departs this weekend

Just got our email today for our 06/26 Voyager sailing, we are going from a 4D balcony to 1-bedroom GS and saving $1,937 each over today's rates (after deducting our balcony rate/ upgrade bid).  I received a credit card charge alert at 10:36AM and then the official award email at 10:40AM.

This will be our first time above a JS and mainly bid for evening cocktails in the lounge as very port intensive (1 sea day) so little time in the room. Hope we don't like it too much 🙂

@cyntCongrats on your win! Once you are awarded into a new category can you really change your room to another available in same category? I wouldn't have expected that but let us know what you find.

Got our very first RoyalUp win today. Voyager of the Seas, June 26, went from an oceanview guarantee to one bedroom grand suite. Minimum bid was 140 euros per person and we bid 200 euros. Super happy!! 🥰

And just as an added info: just last night our other bids expired and this last one still showed pending but couldn't be modified.

So here is a funny situation that I want to get changed but not sure if I can.  So this past weekend I called the casino to see what it would be to upgrade my free Boardwalk Balcony on Symphony to a Crown Loft...lady puts me on hold, comes back and says ok I moved you to the Crown Loft Suite....how do you want to pay the difference.  I said I am sorry you misunderstood, I didn't want to switch, I wanted to get a price on upgrading.  Long story short she got me switched back and gave me a quote.

2 days later I receive an email stating that my bids for Royal Up have been canceled, but I can make more bids.  So I click and it says my current room is a Crown Loft Suite and I can bid on all of these huge suites...so what the heck I did because Max bid at this point on 2 bedroom Aquatheater is 1,600 and 1 bedroom is $1,500 max..All the bids were super cheap...but I just want a crown loft suite, and they are available for our sailing..

SO anyone have this happen, and who can I call to get my room corrected so I can bid on Crown Loft Suite??
