vegasdriven Posted November 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2018 I thought I read something about 45 days prior! My TA said 30. What is your experience? We are 40 days from embarkation now. Just getting excited👏 Darn, can't find jumping up and down emoji!
DaveFr Posted November 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2018 It varies. My experience is four to six weeks. Dave

UUNetBill Posted November 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2018 I know ours won't be six weeks out because we just booked one five weeks out. In the past for us it's been 4-6 weeks as well. I believe once it was closer to 3 weeks and I know I was getting a bit antsy...
Rare ronrick1943 Posted December 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2018 We get ours about 3 weeks out--but we use a TA in Canada so Regents sent it to them and they send it to us---but it works and we don't even need them until 1 week out. Travelcat2 Posted December 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2018 And we get ours 4-6 weeks out. FYI - if, for some reason you do not receive the documents, they can be emailed to you by your TA. I could not find our "Final Documents" before our last cruise and received them by email (I found them packed in the suitcase once I was onboard). When we were checking in, no one asked for the documents and I was still holding them when we were handed our glass of welcome champagne on board...... go figure! vegasdriven Posted December 1, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted December 1, 2018 ronrick- That is interesting that you use a TA in Canada. My TA said they will send them to her about 30 days out. I guess I'm just suspicious, and think they will forget to send ours, and we will be stuck scrambling around last minute. I just want to get my mitts on those tix✊️😄
vegasdriven Posted December 1, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Good to know, Jackie! Has anyone ever nominated you for the godmother of the Regent forum award🙂
DatawCruiser Posted December 1, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 1, 2018 vegasdriven, I believe we are on the same cruise. I received my packet on Wednesday. So you should see them soon. Maybe a delay getting over the border?

(Once we had a dock change a=t the port and they send a text that morning to let us know). I wouldn't worry about your docs, has long as you have you invoice----but like Travelcat2 we've never been asked for the docs. We just showed are passports and get our key and we're on are way to a great cruise. It's kind of like the airlines, show the right ID and you get your boarding pass. I do like to carry everything just in case---but really don't show most paper work.
vegasdriven Posted December 1, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted December 1, 2018 ronrick😎👍 Datawcruiser- yes I see you signed up for the M&M, and that there are 9 people registered. Now I wish we could register, and then we would only need 1 more, but the form won't let me register, as we don't have a room assigned due to our guarantee status. I guess there's still time. flossie009 Posted December 1, 2018 #12 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Our folder with cruise documents and luggage labels normally arrives, via our TA, between two to four weeks before sailing. Our TA also emails the final cruise docs to us before despatch of the folder.

vegasdriven Posted December 1, 2018 Author #14 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Oh, you have your fans, and I for one really appreciate the sound advice from your many cruises, as well as all the interesting details from your recent blog. It's not necessary to agree wholeheartedly with another's opinions to still respect, and enjoy what they have to offer. As a newbie I am very glad that you don't let certain detractors put you off posting! Go Jackie👍

Hope to meet everyone who will be onboard. Do you know how they're being sent? That could make a difference if you're in Canada. I know our TA used to check them out first before sending them on, but now they come directly from the cruiseline, usually. It's worth asking what carrier they're using--not Canada Post I hope! UUNetBill Posted December 3, 2018 #23 Share Posted December 3, 2018 I know ours still go to our TA who reviews them and adds some additional docs then FedExes them out to us. So it's an extra few days, usually, but well worth it to have our guy look everything over.
vegasdriven Posted December 3, 2018 Author #24 Share Posted December 3, 2018 She did say they would come to her first. I didn't even think about Canada post, hopefully they use another delivery method.
