On one of our recent cruises (can't remember which ship) for some reason my husband's Seapass card had "Prime" on it but mine didn't. He got a welcome letter from the Casino Host but I didn't. When we went to the casino, the host told me that he didn't show me as Prime. Somehow they had created a second account for me but the Host finally got it all straightened out and said he successfully merged the 2 accounts. I am very dubious about this. Once RC creates 2 accounts for you for ANYthing it is usually a Charlie Foxtrot. That's why I am keeping very close watch on my points.

We got to 2800 points in one cruise (2500 is prime) doing 2-3 hours per day with slots minimum bet $5 a spin. So how much did it cost you in casino losses? It all depends on how lucky you are My wife rarely spends more than 3 or 4 hundred dollars on a cruise. But has earned as much as 1200 points during a 7 night cruise. It's calculated on how much you put through the machine not how much you put in it. We are both Prime and receive free drinks in the casino and each get a free cruise for 2, up to 8 nights inside cabin. Holidays excluded. fla gang Posted December 9, 2018 #29 Share Posted December 9, 2018 So I called CR again today and they assured me I only need another 54 points to become Prime and then we have April 2019 until March of 2020 to pick an inside cabin and complete any cruise up to 8 days excluding holidays. Looks like we will be doing the two night Mariner in Feb. Should I wait and see what kind of certificate I receive in January for the cruise I just finished before booking the two nighter. My certificate is for $250. Would I possibly get a better one in January since I'm so close to Prime?
CruiseMomTX Posted December 10, 2018 #30 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Where do you find out the different casino levels such as Prime and Signature or whatever there is and perks? We usually cruise Carnival and they don't have casino levels but do have different offers, which lately are not that good, so we are thinking of switching to RCCL to see if we can get better comps. fla gang Posted December 10, 2018 #32 Share Posted December 10, 2018 So it means if you play $20 of your money and win $20 and put it all in then you’re coin in is $40 which would equate to 8 points. I hope I’m correct

Let's assume an 85% average payback on the slots, (which could be high), which would give you a 15% loss, or $1875. That's $500 more than I paid for a balcony on my upcoming Adventure cruise. 1

So when a $10K jackpot get's hit, one person does very well and a whole bunch lose almost everything. At least that's my understanding. You actually get 2 free cruises for 2500 points. One instant certificate for an inside cabin on select cruises, and you also become prime, and get another free cruise 8 nights or less in an inside cabin during the next cruise year. You also get free drinks and a discount on internet.

starrcards Posted December 11, 2018 #44 Share Posted December 11, 2018 I am not much of a gambler and I used a Casino Royal voucher for $100 OBC on our Freedom Christmas cruise. Dumb question, is the OBC all you get or is there something more for using the voucher (status, benefits)?

CruiseMomTX Posted January 16, 2019 #48 Share Posted January 16, 2019 We just got off Harmony on 1/13 and both got Prime, he got a certificate for a free balcony cabin and I got one for an ocean view we both also get the yearly free cruise. Now to figure out how and when to use them. We would like to take our 3 teen boys on the Harmony this summer and would like to book 2 balcony cabins so will call to see if we can do that and how much it will be to upgrade room & add people. Should we expect to start getting casino offers via email or snail mail from now on?
