dcsam Posted December 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2018 (edited) Looking at taking an Oceania cruise. We’ve enjoyed Azamara and Viking Oceans, and imagine Oceania will be a good line for us. Do they ever offer ‘last minute’ sort of rates in order to fill a ship? Thank you! Edited December 23, 2018 by dcsam
Rare ORV Posted December 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2018 Interesting question. It depends, also depends on how connected your TA is. This is almost one of those hush-hush areas. For a while there was a major online seller that was posting the "special pricing" rates in emails and on their website. I haven't seen that in a while. In the past most of the good rates were not advertised or were on the Oceania website. But I've already probably said too much.
tgg Posted December 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2018 The advice I've seen here is to book with a TA who does very large volume with the cruise line you're interested in. Can anyone suggest how to find this information?

When I asked to speak to someone who has that information, he said that it is not available. I googled my question in many forms and came up with nothing. Having posted on CC for more than 17 years, I'm aware of the guidelines.😊
Paulchili Posted December 28, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2018 One way to find a good O TA is if you have an O cruise coming up, ask some of your fellow cruisers and then do your own screening. Good Luck.

I'm just looking for a place that will give me a list of high volume travel agencies for Oceania or any other cruise line.
Rob the Cruiser Posted December 29, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 29, 2018 There is a page on Oceania's website that displays their preferred TAs sorted by zip code. Dunno if I am allowed to show the link but it's easy to find.
