Rare Essiesmom Posted December 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2018 What does the Princess website say? Since you have a lot of questions about a particular ship and cruise line, you should be posting on the board here for Princess, located back on the main boards page under Cruise Lines P-Z. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/119-princess-cruises/ EM
Host Carolyn Posted December 30, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2018 I am moving this topic to the Princess board. The other members here are correct in this case! The cruise line boards provide an opportunity/forum for those who have cruised on their ships or who are looking to gather information before booking a cruise. They are not sponsored by or monitored by the cruise line! :) I hope you will visit the Princess board for further information and questions you may have~

Please tell me the pants can stay in the suitcase! thankyou Shorts are generally not allowed in the DR's for evening meals, this includes Club Class. However, some passengers do wear shorts and some maitre'd's allow them. Other times passengers are turned away. Pack prepared.
flamomo Posted December 30, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 30, 2018 Princess guidelines re: shorts ("dress" or otherwise) have not changed. Shorts are not supposed to be worn in the dining rooms at dinnertime. No exceptions made for CC passengers that I have ever heard of, and I have cruised many times on Princess ships in the past 15 years.
OCruisers Posted December 30, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2018 We've had Club Class Dining on Caribbean Princess. Shorts are allowed for breakfast and lunch ... but not for dinner. Great service in CC ... Enjoy!

Ep010835 Posted December 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2018 I have worn nice shorts many times to dinner in CC without anyone batting an eye. You'll be fine. Unless, of course, you happen to have a fussy MD. If this happens to be the case on your cruise, then I agree with skynight. Pack prepared. I have always found nice black jeans to be acceptable anytime for CC dinner as well.
Letacraig Posted December 30, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted December 30, 2018 I like the idea of a casual vacation. I wear pants every day for work. That’s plenty. Thanks
